Never have actually gotten around to taking a nice picture of my sculpture I did for my art final! I also have some new plants to brighten up my desk now! #art #skull #sculpey #sculpture #planometric #anatomy #plants🌿 #plants #bonzai #sweetpea #artclass
More progress, started working on the surrounding buildings, the interior of the supermarket is now done as well!
Progress, This is the main street that the first level will be in to introduce the player to the controls and basic concept of the game. You start in the room (a door will be added later) and inspect the cereal as a pop-up will prompt you to do. it will then trigger a message box that unfolds a few events to the basis of the story. Walking up the street will give the player more space and freedom to move quickly, teaching them the controls even more. Once you enter the supermarket, which will play a major role in the story, you will be given an introduction of what is to come. The supermarket’s interiors have been completed but I will probably go in further detail later.
The First level introduces controls
The second level will introduce the time stopping aspect
The third level will introduce enemies
The fourth level will allow you to manoeuvre while time is stopped
The fifth level will allow you to attack while time is stopped
The sixth level will elaborate on the skills you h ave learnt
The seventh level will be a challenge, using your skills to defeat the boss
The final level will be an easy epilogue taking you back to where you started
OK, lets start off with the obligatory “nobodywillseethis” post that every blog seems to have, and as this Tumblr page, using the same account I used my three-to-four-year-old, unused account with, which is now going to be used for blogging the stories of my games development, the same game I've been working on for a year and barely finished the first level (room even).
Here is what little has come from it. This blog will hopefully create some sort of motivation if it ever gets any traction, if. My plan, if it even counts, is to first create the artwork, then the functionality, then the sound, then maybe add a little bit of seasonin... and release a completed game?..
The image is the evolution of the first (and so far, only) room using some pixel art skills I've gathered over the time I've been working on this.
Also thanks to Justin for letting me borrow the awesome character design.
