To compensate for all the paper consumed in these years, the Veni Rao Foundation has collaborated with CHIREC International to organize a ‘Sapling Plantation Drive’ on this World Environment Day. With the goal of planting 1080 saplings in a month, the campaign kick-started on June 4, 2019. The students of the CHIREC E3 club, along with the teacher representatives, planted around 108 saplings at the medians opposite the CHIREC’s Kondapur campus. They also collected and properly disposed of all the trash lying near the medians. Inspired by the students’ initiative, many residents of the area came forward to support the drive by planting and giving back to Mother Nature.
