The new growth of Rainbow Spirea gives the impression of being in bloom even before it starts to bud. When #inbloom it’s nice but not nearly as eye-catching. The leaves turn uniformly chartreuse and tiny umbels of magenta flowers spot appear. Bumble #bees like them but otherwise this compact shrub doesn’t draw a lot of pollinators. ..
