I think we as a Sherlock society undervalue the friendships that can be there
It's always "character x character", they're smooching, they're fighting, they're being assholes, they're doing this and that
But what about some chaotic ass friendships that can be there
Like, Sherlock and Moriarty in my au were childhood friends to strangers to enemies to friends again, and I can just imagine how chaotic they could be as friends
Moriarty could give Sherlock tips on how to ask John out while John and Sebastian chill together and discuss working with their favorite psychopaths
And the way Sherlock deduced Mary was pregnant, he could do the same with Moriarty (who is ftm in my au so it's entirely possible (spoiler for upcoming art arcs...)) except Moriarty ALREADY knew and was just checking how long would it take for Sherlock to notice
The way Moriarty would see how fatherly Lestrade is to Sherlock and would want the same thing because he never had that
How Moriarty would traumadump to Sherlock over tea and then moving onto fanboying over their stupid boyfriends together
How they would hang out as much as their social batteries allowed because they want to restore those 20 years of absence from one another
(I might add more later)
Anyways, I'm starving for Sherlock-Moriarty friendship content (don't suggest young Sherlock I tried watching and it was too boring)
