I was surprised when I found out that each member of Yellow Magic Orchestra managed to have a solo career that was happening concurrently to the band's. It seems highly unlikely that such an occurrence is even possible. Nonetheless, that just showed that every one of them had a lot to say and Ryuichi Sakamoto in particular looks like a guy who just cannot stand still. He has a restless spirit when it comes to music and that was already shown in his debut which was a mix of jazz fusion and synthpop.
