Day 24 - Santa's Cookies
One more day til CHRISTMAS! Wow, it's OFFICIALLY Christmas Eve! And the girls are excited for Santa to come down the chimney! So to prepare for Santa's arrival, Annalise made a cute plate drawing with a nice letter and drawing to Santa. Amelia has been sick with a fever these past couple days, so she couldn't make one.
First we measure the inside diameter of the plate. Ours was 7.5 inches.
Then I cut out a circle of white cardstock with the corresponding measurement. (**Parents always supervise your children if they are using scissors) This circle will be placed on top of the plate as a decorational art piece.
Annalise grabbed her crayons and wrote her letter to Santa.
And since her sister couldn't make one, she drew a picture of her and told Santa what she wanted. Always so thoughtful of her sister!!.....ehh ok, well sometimes
Look how proud she is!
Then I cut out a piece of parchment paper the same size as the circle, and placed it on top of her drawing so that the oil from the cookies doesn't bleed through the paper and ruin her art piece.
Then we added some cookies and a glass of milk. We had some cookies leftover from Day 23, so we didn't need to bake any. And then we placed everything by the tree.
Hope Santa eats them ALL up!
