Okay, so I've had a rough period between raids for my group. People leaving blah blah blah. My OT decided to bail on the raid group 30m before we went in to T6 on Thursday. I was salty yes, and had almost lost faith. I still wanted to go in, so I asked around, my homeboy Plat got me invited into the progression LS for Coil 2 for people that I guess pug or simply are lf' statics.
plat refereed a guy from Zero that we were looking for some deeps. He was a bard, but I'm not going to punch a gift horse in the mouth. I invited him to join us. he was a fresh t6 guy with 0 knowledge. We pugged a Whm due to Miu being stuck at a meeting/convention for her college, "Bara" our temp Melee dps came. He brought his buddy a War "Cookie" along for the ride.
I was somewhat worried that we would wipe continuously in the early phases of the fight.Sure the new bard, was making mistakes, but he was a quick study. Our DPS was still on par with allowing 1 honey, and we constantly got to the last phase.
We had some mishaps, but we eventually got our second clear at the 1 - 2 hour mark. It was a confidence booster for those in the static that we are able to keep doing consistently well even with a pug heal, dps, and our temp tank & dps filling in.
I got the Fending Bracelet for my first clear, and a few days ago I got the Fending Boots. I'm very thankful to those that believed in me and gave me the support to push forward. Platinum is that person who has been pushing me to get better. I'm glad that we managed to get through it without him being in the physical instance. Our mechanics for our core group are on par, now its just getting a solid group together and pound out the kinks in 7, move to 8, and then struggle on 9.
