LNG prices India
India's LNG prices are influenced by both global benchmarks and domestic pricing policies. Imported spot LNG, assessed via the Platts West India Marker (WIM), currently hovers around $14.3/MMBtu amid tight global markets. Domestic natural gas, tied to a formula based on 10 % of the Indian crude basket, is priced at approximately $7.80/MMBtu (March 2025). Conventional gas caps are set near $6.50/MMBtu, while deepwater and ultra deepwater production is capped at $10.16/MMBtu. With LNG imports projected to rise 4–10 %, spot LNG remains expensive, keeping WIM-linked supplies significantly above domestic gas rates, LNG prices India, Indianpetroplus
