Herring, a 6'3" point guard who played collegiately at Utica (N.Y.) College, scored a team-high 27 points in London's 109-97 Saturday night home victory against the Orangeville A's; the win helped London maintain a 10-game winning streak. Melvin Johnson III of the Moncton Miracles has been named Atlantic Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 19, 2017. Johnson, a 6'6" guard who played collegiately at Arkansas State, averaged 25.5 points this week for the Miracles, including scoring 37 points - with a 10-for-17 run from three-point range - in Moncton's 131-110 Saturday night victory over the Island Storm that broke the Miracles' five-game losing streak. #ThePursuit #PlayersoftheWeek

Zimmerman, a 6'2" guard who played collegiately at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, averaged 18.5 points per game in two Halifax victories, helping the Hurricanes remain atop the NBL Canada's Atlantic Division. This is the first time in the 2016-17 season that a River Lions player has received this honour.
