The last time the song was performed live by the couple was 1987, when both Sonny and Cher (after divorcing in 1975) were on The David Letterman Show. Dave convinced them to do the song live, and they put aside their differences to deliver a rather sweet final performance. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born this date in 1892. DIDJA KNOW!? Tolkien later said that he only finished his Lord of the Rings books due to the encouragement of his good friend, “Narnia” author C.S. Lewis. Tolkien first met Lewis at an Oxford faculty meeting in 1926, but the two did not become fast friends. SWIPE TO SEE INSIDE A MUMMY Advanced imaging has allowed archeologists to “digitally unwrap the 3,500-year-old mummy of King Amenhotep I. One of the reasons our first escape room is Egyptian is because of stories like this. Amenhotep died suddenly at the age of 35, but there are no signs of trauma or disease.
