What if you went to fight the Dark Cloud at the end of Final Fantasy 3 and it was a really fucked up Cloud Strife
So OG FF3's bizarre difficulty jump with Garuda isn't a one-off thing. The bosses in the final dungeon can easily TPK you even when the regular monsters are insultingly easy to defeat.

Grinding in the Crystal Tower is kinda like grinding for limit breaks in the Northern Cave except not as fun because it was 100% my own damn fault I hadn't unlocked all the limit breaks by then and also it involved significantly more drugging up my party members.
Anyway, I know of two things to try to survive the bosses in the final dungeon...
Put in a second magic user (I was going with just one - a healer - for a awhile)
