why the FUCK are minions so expensive?!.

all i want is to get my boyfriend a minion, because it's the only stuffed toy he'd be willing to keep in his bed.  there are also several memories behind "despicable me" and the minions.  i know it would make us both really happy.

your typical 6inch plush is nearly $20;  a set of three, $45-50.  this movie came out seven or so months ago, jeez!.  i might understand if it was just released, but i think this is seriously ridiculous.  &six inches is really not that tall for a stuffed animal.  if i had it my way, i'd get him one of the big ones like he tried to win me on the weekend of my birthday.

i'm just so confused on why these are so hard to find..  toysrus.com doesn't have any despicable me toys.  anywhere i look, they're small &ridiculously priced.

i could settle for "buy it now" in the $15-$18 range, but i know with shipping it'll be twentysomething.  &it just doesn't seem worth it because of all the other things i'm getting him for valentine's day, plus it's such a small toy!.  [see mini-rant paragraph above.]

[upon scrolling further down on ebay] 9inch lushes are going from $36 to $123.  what is wrong with this country ?!.
