the most well put criticism about macfarlanes 'parody' ive ever read was that it's not parody at all, it's simply reiterating problematic stereotypes already present. he fails to call them out, so someone in agreement with them will laugh, but not question their validity. good parody aims to show the wrongness of what is parodied.
