PLAGIARISM AIN’T COOL

one of my works (intimidation) was stolen and reposted on wattpad by @/bangtan_maryy as part of a larger imagine compilation called “love me as i imagine”. while that work has since been removed or unpublished, i’m still disappointed that plagiarism from tumblr to wattpad (and to youtube and to other sites) is still happening.

if you want to support authors and their works, leave a comment or reblog. don’t repost their hardwork without consent and claim that you “really put your all into it” when you didn’t. at all.

anyway, please go check out that page on wattpad because there are still a few other bts imagines posted within their other works. i suspect at least one is something i have read before on tumblr.

Reposting VS Reblogging

Y'all this is so important for tumblr.

Reposting is something that is generally frowned upon, not because of anything generally heinous. Simply put, if you "repost" someone's art or content, you are plagiarizing or "stealing" their work, and even with credits given, unless its a direct link to their post, it will not give the ORIGINAL CREATOR traction for THEIR content.

Reblogging is a feature that tumblr and other websites/apps provide, which is simply a way to spread the original creator's post to other followers, or other people's pages. The reblogged post shows the original creator, and with a simple click, their page; while also showing that it is reblogged from perhaps a mutual or just someone that showed up on a persons feed.

Reblogging is LOVED, and especially on tumblr it does spread posts through the "followers" feed while scrolling. This is a great way to spread posts and show love to authors, artists, or any other type of content seen on tumblr.

Most importantly, it gives recognition, and a link to the original creator's page.
