the funny thing to me about blindsight is that i've seen plenty of people say the vampire "right angles cause them to have seizures because of the complexity of their brains" thing takes them out of the book when the thing that REALLY should take you out is the main character's robert downy jr sherlock style character analysis
#i do love this book but. lmao#PLEASEEEEE...#like it's barely explained away and is LEAGUES goofier#i'm always going to give odd but interesting worldbuilding a pass over 'the set of her shoulders told me she enjoyed lightscapes' lmaooo#but tbh even that is just kind of integral for how the plot plays out and how he interacts with other characters
