As far as I remember, the treepeople are some guys looking like humans made of plants from that one Doctor Who episode in the first season of the new series with Nine. Where there is also this woman made of skin who need to get moisturised every five seconds. Am I right?

And the three people who would read my fanfiction if it was written in German would surely be those three people in the fandom who speak German and are interested in my fanfiction. ;) Maybe there are four, I don't know.

I don't know. Stupid idiots are currently trying to sell me some time travel insurance and I have absolutely no idea why one could mean I need that.

I'm a native English speaker and I find no fault in your writing. I adore it, TBH. You articulate yourself beautifully and you're one of my favorite authors (published non-fanfic writers included). Kudos to you for writing in your second(?) language!

It's wonderful to hear that. Thank you very much. But this is also the point where I have to praise my beta readers again. Because they are really working hard on that. And many expressions are caused by them. Yeah, but sometimes, I also like to write something that sounds nice. ;) Yeah, English is basically my second language (apart from the fact that I have more or less two mother tongues). I learned it in school, starting in fifth grade.

Also there is a thing I really like about this: A lot of Native English speakers are actually saying they have no problem with the fact that I sometimes missplace vocabulary. One person actually mentioned they find it quite interesting, because they can get from it that it works differently in my mother tongue. But I heard this 'your English is bad and you should feel bad' thing (the ask yesterday wasn't exactly that, I know) actually quite often, now. But the interesting point is that it has never been a Native English speaker telling me that. Often, I have the feeling, it's more of a way to tell me someone did learn better English than I did. ;)
