child of divorce yuji forcing you to call your ex!husband sukuna to say goodnight.
series masterlist
you had refused all week to give into yuji's plan that he had stolen from the internet. you were mature, healed and too busy to deal with these little dares. but it was up until one bored evening where you had finally succumbed to his challenge.
Your phone was on speaker, with the line ringing for the contact name of your ex-husband which was simply titled 'sukuna'.
no love hearts, no kisses or nicknames. you were completely over him and have been for years. the only reason you stay in touch with him is for Yuji's sake.
"I don't think he'll pick up yuj' " you murmured to him slightly. "your dad's been busy these past few days.'
and just like the old days, Sukuna always manages to prove you wrong -he always needed to embarrass you, even when he wasn't even here in the flesh.
"hello?" a coarse voice rings out on the other end of the line.
"hello." you respond and immediately you feel your stomach fall in knots. you're nervous. and you don't even know why.
looking up at yuji, his expectant face is watching eagerly as if he enjoys torturing you. he mouths "say it! say it!" and you feel like you have no choice but to continue with your dare.
you swallow down your nerves and attempt to speak as nonchalant as possible. "I just wanted to call and say goodnight."
There's a pause and there's something inside you that just knows how much he's smirking right now.
"Oh really?" he starts putting on a sultry tone, "you haven't done that in a while, is something wrong?"
you pull a face, willing your body to not fall for his tone of voice. no you won't fall like you did all those years ago. absolutely not. "No, I just wanted to say goodnight."
"do you need me to come over and tuck you in as well or....?"
"no! uhm, I mean no I'm fine but y'know I hope you have a good night."
yuji's meanwhile in the corner of the room clenching his stomach and trying his hardest not to let out a laugh.
"hmmm."
"what?"
"cut the crap."
"I'm not-" you start but sukuna manages to cut you off pretty quickly.
"listen, either tell me what you really want or don't bother wasting my time."
you pull a face, "me telling you good night is a waste of your time now?"
"yes."
"what are you even doing right now? it's 11pm and i know you don't have shit to do."
"don't turn this on me, baby, this is all about you."
"don't call me baby." you mutter.
"then don't call me to say good night."
you roll your eyes, you should have known that even the conversation of 'good night' would naturally turn into an argument between the two of you.
"is yuji good? you sure you don't need me to come over to help take care of a pre-teen?" he mocks.
"i don't" you bite, "i was just being kind and saying goodnight, i know how lonely it must get over there. are you sure you're doing alright?" your tone is filled with sarcasm, attempting to play sukuna at his favourite game.
"i dunno', " he starts, "i might need to come over to your bed so you can keep me company.'
you immediately hang up. you're done and finished. whilst yuji's laughing away in the corner all you can do is roll your eyes at the conversation.
but there's a little part.
a little part of you that you won't ever admit to yourself that misses him.
unbeknownst to you, on the other side there's still a smirk on sukuna's face as he sets the phone down, ruminating on the fact that there's also a part of him that misses you.
Firefighter!Sukuna who bust down your bathroom door when there was a fire in your building (one that you weren't aware of), clad in thick and hefty bunker gear, eyes scanning the brightly lit bathroom only to spot you in the middle of shower, completely bare, soap bubbles still coating your skin.
Firefighter!Sukuna who clears his throat, looking over his shoulder before turning back to you, cheeks dusted with a rather adorable shade of red.
"Th—there's apartment in next door fire." He stepped closer, hand gesturing for the bathrobe hanging beside the mirror.
"Huh?" Your brows are furrowed, trying to decipher who between you both was having a stroke, maybe the abrupt slam of the door did mess with you head.
The absurdity of the situation startles you enough that the thought of being completely naked before doesn't even cross your mind, at least not until he reached for the bathrobe himself, stepping closer to hand it to you.
Firefighter!Sukuna who acts instinctively, once you are modestly covered, yanks you over his shoulder to quickly move out into the smoke filled hallway, steps heavy against the wooden floor as he made his way out, making sure you didn't get knocked into the wall or door frames.
Firefighter!Sukuna who instantly jumps back into the building after making sure you are steady on your feets, looking over his shoulder once before continuing back inside, hoping he'd find you after the rescue is completed.
Firefighter!Sukuna who frowned when the medic informed that the people had scattered around some to the hospital for minor injuries other taking refuge with friends and family till the apartment complex was fixed.
Firefighter!Sukuna who mulls over the awkward interaction for days, rest of the team teasing him over his jumbled words, hoping to find a reason to go back to your apartment without seeming like a pervert or a creep.
Firefighter!Sukuna who groans loud when he is informed about the routine check up he must have to ensure health, begrudgingly walks into the hospital with rest of the team, brows furrowed as he waited for his name to be called.
"Ryomen Sukuna."
The lady at the desk announced his turn, gesturing towards the door with light glowing above the 'general physician's.
Sukuna sighed, stepping into the office only to be stopped in his tracks, before him stood you, much more clothed, stethoscope hung around your neck as you wrote on charts, eyes widening in recognition when thet met his.
Firefighter!Sukuna who awkwardly stepped into your office, almost tripping over nothing, nearly turning a routine check up into a life threatening emergency.
"You work here?" He asked, nearly slapping his own forehead, of course you do.
You nodded your head, lips pursed together as you placed the clipboard on the desk, patting the stretcher, "I'd hope so."
Firefighter!Sukuna who snorts at your sass, ugly little sound escaping the back of his throat, warmth blooming on his cheeks as you grinned back at him.
Firefighter!Sukuna who sits still while you noted his vitals, metal of the stethoscope cold against his warm skin, eyes following your movement, at one point he caught himself admiring your penmanship.
"You've got good handwriting." He mumbled, pointing to where you noted his pulse rate and blood pressure, "usually doc's have chicken scribble writing."
Firefighter!Sukuna who swears to keep his mouth shut when you continue to look at him in bewilderment, more than once did he catch you suppressing the urge to grin.
Firefighter!Sukuna who waits outside your office to get clearance, only to be handed a doctor's note instead.
"Come back for check up later, your heart rate was abnormally high."

── #⃝ MINA'S NOTES ( 💬 ) gojo ver. masterlist <3
SUKUNA RYOMEN was the devils incarnate. No, like literally that's what people whispered and believed.
"I saw horns on his head, and he was talking about killing a duck," 4 year old Nobara whispered and told 4 year old Megumi and Itadori. Nodding and pursing her lips as she had learnt from Gojo when he was gossiping with Geto and Shoko, mimicking his behaviour. Itadori widened his eyes before gasping and placing his hands on his cheeks, "HE WHAT? WHAT THE HECK!?," he looked distraught before huffing and pouting, as if the sun was exploding. He couldn’t believe his uncle, who was only around 13 years older than him, was so evil.
"She obviously didn't see that, idiot," Megumi looked at him in annoyance, curling his upper lip. "And stop copying how my babysitter acts!" he scoffed before tackling Yuuji.
The rumours didn't start and end with 4 year olds though, almost everyone in Jujutsu high believed that Sukuna was to be feared and that he would curse you if you stared too long. Almost everyone anyways, since there were two big exceptions. One being the most popular boy in school, the boy who was famous on Mixi and owned a Blackberry before anyone else in Japan did.
Satoru Gojo.
"Don't look," a girl whispered to her friend, holding her hand tightly and staring ahead into her dark locker, while heavy footsteps passed behind them.
She was pursing her lips, about to turn back to check before Gojo came up behind them both, resting his arms over their shoulders and smiling happily. "Who're we hiding from?" He beamed.
Her frozen expression didn't give much away, while her friend grew flustered and quickly looked over her other shoulder, locking eyes onto the only figure who wasn't in uniform. His pink hair standing out, hands shoved in his pockets, lolling his head back with a big sigh.
"Satoru, stop following me," he glared, turning back only to look at the white haired menace.
“But whyyyyy? You’re my best friend!” He whined, pouting and playing along, quickly tagging along behind him and chatting to him non-stop about the new game he was playing online and how they should go to an internet café again soon.
Other students walking by quickly changed their course of direction, looked away, or started to empty out their pockets in case Sukuna Ryomen decided that they were the ones who were going to pay for his next expense. Bullying? Sukuna's minions made haibara fear for his life until he transferred to a different school, which in turn caused Nanami to resent him.
All was changed when one of the students smelled the roses in the air, quickly smiling and looking towards the school entrance.
"It's Y/N!" One of the girls happily pointed, while another ran up to give you a hug. "Y/N-channnn! How was your weekend?"
Unlike Sukuna, your reputation was written in a fancy cursive and written in a sparkly pink gel pen. You were a breath of fresh air to many students there, not a single student had a negative energy towards you. Rumours about you sounded like they were out of a fairytale, which is why you were listed as "most likely to be a princess" in the yearbook in your last year of secondary school.
"She gave me her ice cream when she heard about my failed test," a second year boy sighed dreamily, before looking towards the entrance for a glimpse of you. "Is she singing?" His friend questioned, raising a confused eyebrow. You lived up to your name, skipping towards the entrance and humming, while squirrels, birds, raccoons, stray cats and some deers followed behind. A hummingbird even resting on your shoulder and tweeting along.
"Alright now, make sure you all get along and don't get hit by cars, okay?" You smiled and brushed off the bird, blowing a kiss in the direction that the animals scurried off before entering the school gates.
"Do you think I have a chance with her? I think she smiled at me like… more than usual yesterday," a first year boy named Haruto scratched the back of his neck. Flushing from his cheeks, and making quick glances towards your approaching figure. His friends looked unconvinced, all sharing the same look and one of them even holding onto his backpack so that he didn't do anything rash.
"She smiles at everyone, plus I heard she has a boyfriend," one of them shrugged, sighing and watching your figure. It was like all of them were communicating telepathically, trying to discern if you had a boyfriend from the way you walked.
Haruto was about to approach, "I don't think she has—" before freezing and clenching his jaw tightly when someone came up behind him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder tensely. His friends glancing over, only to take one look and be on their way, knowing there was nothing they could do.
"I'm pretty sure she has one." Sukuna mumbled, looking down at the younger boy with sharp eyes.
Haruto gulped, before nodding and looking up at the older boy shakily. "O-oh… sorry, I didn't know.." he mumbled, the air from his throat suddenly feeling like nails, increasingly hard to breathe in and out without sounding like a nervous wreck. "I'll g-go apologise to Gojo, sorry—"
"Gojo's not her boyfriend." Sukuna grumbled, tightening his grip on Haruto's shoulder, making the boy wince out. "I'm her boyfriend," he tsked down at him, narrowing his eyes, almost pouting before shoving the boy away and walking towards you.
People seeing what was happening were already pitying you and wishing that you'd stay safe.
Many people knew that you were dating Sukuna Ryomen, just as many people did not know. The reaction was always the same, whether they knew or not, whenever sukuna approached you. People looking at him in disdain, jealousy, anger, or even looking at you with pity.
"Poor girl, he's probably been manipulating her," whispers floated amongst the student body, people shaking their heads, teachers gossiping in their lounges. "She's too sweet for him, he doesn't deserve her!"
You knew the truth and Sukuna knew the truth.
"Hii!" You happily squealed, rushing up to him and hugging him. His body didn't stiffen or hesitate, as he'd gently wrap on arm around and pat your back, glancing back subtly so that no one saw him lose his edge. "…you're going to make me look like a softie," he whispered, flustered from seeing you, looking comically shy, trying to snarl down at you.
You blinked up at him curiously, tilting your head and playing dumb. "What edge? You're the cutest, most softest, sweetest and smartest guy I know!" You pinched his cheek, before humming and skipping past him, towards the steps of the entrance of the main building.
He paused, before pouting and quickly following after you.
you could never get tired of admiring your husband heian era!sukuna ♡
most people couldn’t look at him for long.
the moment they caught sight of him, their eyes dart away. some out of fear, or some out of disgust. they believe a creature like him isn’t meant to be looked at.
you think they are all blind.
the evening is quiet, lantern light casting a warm glow across the room. it has become part of your nightly routine before bed, these quiet moments spent with your husband after the day has settled.
sukuna sits against the bed frame, one pair of arms folded while the other rests loosely across his lap.
his crimson eyes follow you as you crawl toward him. you sit down beside him and gently take one of his hands, then another.
his brows rise as he looks at you expectantly.
you compare them, turning them over in your palms. thick fingers, calloused skin, veins running beneath flesh capable of tearing apart crowds.
yet you trace them carefully, as if they are something precious.
“four arms..“ you murmur.
“you say that as if you’ve only just noticed,” he says, clicking his tongue after.
you move closer, inspecting the markings that wind around his skin. your fingertips follow the dark lines traveling over his wrist and shoulders.
“they’re beautiful.”
he looks at you, and you swear there’s a faint blush adoring his cheeks, even though he’s heard you say so many times before.
beautiful? no one has ever used that word for him before you.
you continue before he can respond.
your hand slides to his chest, tracing the markings there as well, and you can feel his gaze burning into you.
then your attention lowers— to the second mouth resting on his stomach. the feature that causes most people to recoil.
you start to lean forward, but sukuna’s eyes narrow. “what are you doing?”
“hm?”
his stomach mouth opens slightly, revealing sharp teeth, just to close again.
you examine it with genuine curiosity— it is quite the most strange part of him, and therefore something you want to understand even more.
without hesitation, you press a small kiss on top of it.
“…why are you looking at me like that?” you ask after coming back up.
for perhaps the first time in centuries, the king of curses looks genuinely caught off guard.
“what was that for?”
you tilt your head, and one of your hands come up to trace his lower lip.
“i do kiss these as well, no?”
a low, strange sound escapes him, a little similar to a low laugh.
you shift your attention upward again, this time toward the smaller eyes beneath his main pair.
you‘ve always found them quite interesting.
carefully, you brush your thumb beneath one. “so you can see from them as well?”
“obviously.”
you continue to examine him shamelessly.
the shape of his face, then the markings crossing his cheeks. the extra eyes.. the sharp angles of his features.
every detail. every part others fear— you love looking at them, love memorizing them.
when you finally look up, sukuna is already looking at you, a little amusement written over his expression.
“what’s so amusing?” you ask.
two of his hands rise, and two large palms settle against your cheeks. the contrast between his size and yours is almost comical.
“just why are you so different?” his thumb brushes across your cheek.
for a moment, neither of you speaks, then you lean forward and kiss one of the markings on his face.
“wouldn’t be here if i was like everyone else, hm?” you reason.
Soft!Kuna refuses to go to bed without his good night kiss
Leaving the bathroom, you hummed a quiet tune as you headed to your bedroom to find your boyfriend on the bed, scrolling through his phone. He perked up at the sound of your footsteps, his shoulders instantly relaxing at the sight of you clad in your soft pajamas. Immediately, he placed his phone by the bedside table and shifted a little to create a little more space for you.
“Took you long enough,” he grumbled, but the faint amused smile failed to conceal his affection.
Giggling, you dove for the bed, instantly going inside the soft blankets to curl beside him. you sighed, content, as you lazily wrapped your arms around his broad chest, nuzzling your cheek against his bicep. In return, he cuddled back, wrapping his arms around your smaller frame to gently cradle you.
“Night, kuna,” you murmured, as per ritual, closing your eyes.
There was a pause. Then complete silence.
It made your brows furrow, since he usually gave you a groggy reply. Opening your eyes curiously, you saw his eyes stare back at you, slightly narrowed and lips faintly tugged down into a petulant pouting frown. faint, but definitely there.
“What? What’s wrong?” you asked gently, slightly concerned as you stared up at him with those sweet, pretty eyes.
Sukuna’s brows furrowed a little more, a habit that he had when he was trying to comprehend how you could be so cute, but that was not the point at the moment—because his pout tugged a little deeper to form a deeper frown.
“…”
You raised a brow.
“…” Sukuna huffed, looking away for a moment, ears burning in a cute pink. “…nothing.”
“It’s not nothing though!” you whined, grinning at the sight of his adorable pink ears. “Tell me, tell me!”
Sukuna made a show of frowning a little more before you heard a snippet of what he was saying, incoherent.
“Huh?”
Sukuna narrowed his eyes at you before muttering it out again, “You didn’t …ive me a …night……”
You blinked. “What?”
“You didn’t give me a good night’s kiss!” he grumbled out finally, quickly, loudly giving you an irritated tsk as he looked away to hide his blush.
You stared at him, slightly dumbfounded before laughing warmly. “Aww! Kuna!”
Without wasting a time, you cradled his face to tilt him so that he was looking at you before giving him a soft kiss on his lips, smiling against his plush skin. Sukuna hummed in tender satisfaction as he held onto you a little more tighter, caressing the delicate curve of your hip.
After a moment, you pulled away to smile up at him, slightly teasing. “You know you could always initiate the kiss.”
Sukuna gave you a shrug as though trying to hide his previous humiliating admission. “You always kiss me good night first.”
You giggled, pecking his lips. “You’re so spoiled.”
“Brat,” he grumbled, before he abruptly pulled you closer to him, and laid the both of you down on the bed, burrowing his face into your neck. “Go to sleep already.”
“Good night, Kuna,” you replied back once more with a butterfly-fluttering, warm laugh, kissing his shoulder. “I love you…”
ryomen "my girlfriend beats me" sukuna. aka, the time where sukuna thought it would be funny to announce to onlookers that his girlfriend beats him.
it some random saturday where your friend group decided to go bowling. after you all had gotten tired of gojo's whines since he was losing to geto, you all decided to head out. on your way out though, gojo pointed out the arcade room and bought game cards for everyone before anyone could complain.
among the rigged games, there was a boxing machine where a small punching bag would dangle. someone would then step up and hit the bag as hard as possible, allowing the machine to "measure" the strength of the hit. the current high-score was 920. it was actually sukuna that dragged you over to the machine and told you to give it a shot. he swiped the game card he purchased earlier and leaned on the side of the machine as it let the punching bag dangle, awaiting your hit.
"go on, baby. give it your best shot," sukuna says, the smug look on his face making you want to hit him rather than the machine.
as if he read your mind, gojo pipes up and says, "yeah just pretend the bag is his face, yn!"
you roll your eyes and have half a mind to just give it a half hearted punch just to get it over with. until you get another look at the smirk on sukuna's face. the asshole just wanted you to go first so he could go after and show off. you found that your boyfriend likes to take any opportunity to show his strength. whether it's tightening jars so you would have to ask for his help or doing stupid arm wrestling at the parties when he's had a few too many drinks. just the thought of the ego boost this would give him made your eye twitch.
so you take a stance you remember sukuna showing you when he insisted you learn self-defense. you raise your arm and pivot your body as a practice punch that didn't hit the bag just yet. using that momentum, you land a hook powerful enough to shake the machine as the numbers on the screen shot up before stopping at 999, the max.
choso and shoko clap in praise from behind you as gojo and toji let out a couple hollers and whistles. the commotion from the impact of your punch caused a couple people to look over and upon seeing the number on the screen, a couple of them clapped a little too.
you look over to sukuna with a smirk, expecting to find nothing but shock only to get irritated when he looked prouder than before. you watched in real time as the idea formed in his head before he cupped one hand around his mouth as his other hand points at you.
"she's my girlfriend!" sukuna calls out, loud as fuck. "she beats the shit outta me!"
as if the commotion from your friends' cheers weren't enough, of course sukuna decides to be an attention seeker. his comment earns some laughs and toji even adds on, "don't worry, he's exactly where he wants to be."
sukuna saunters over to you before pulling you into his chest by your waist. "damn right i am," he tells you with a grin.
you land a soft jab into his side in protest, "if someone calls the cops on me for domestic abuse, i swear ryomen."
\( ᐖ)/ heianera!sukuna’s wife has been ignoring him, and he won’t have it
“Has she eaten?”
Uraume stands reverently at Sukuna’s side, flat gaze fixed ahead of them. “No, My lord. She has yet to leave her quarters.”
Sukuna grunts something under his breath, then dismisses his attendant who shuffles across the threshold of the lattice frame doors and disappears past the translucent sheets.
It’s quiet. Especially without your routine complaints or gossip of the shrine’s happenings. His breakfast tastes notably pungent this morning, the fisherman who refused to pay tribute at this month’s offering no longer as appetizing as he looked when he begged for mercy at Sukuna’s feet. Like a petulant child, he pushes his tray away from him and gathers his kimono to hoist himself up.
You haven’t said a word to him in three days. Any longer and the two of you might never speak again.
It’s juvenile—offering your Lord the cold shoulder like some inconsolable child. For fuck’s sake, he’s the strongest sorcerer in history. The undisputed King of Curses. Why is his attention anchored on a mere spiff? A lover’s quarrel?
No. He will sort this once and for all.
You’ve had enough time to sort out your emotions. The two of you will speak again today if he has a say in it. Which he does.
Promptly, he arrives outside your chambers. There’s not a sound coming from inside. For all he knows, you were assassinated in your sleep, stubborn and set on sleeping in separate rooms.
Sukuna doesn’t knock. The entitled man just slides the door open, inviting himself into your space.
Sukuna quickly realizes maybe he shouldn’t be as reckless as he’s feeling—only met with the sight of two irises piercing daggers into him.
You’re half-naked, sliding yourself into your kimono and brushing your unruly hair from your face.
But, no. Sukuna’s not focused on your pinched up and twisted expression that’s making a show to scowl at him. His attention is fully honed in on your body. Not because he wants to tear that stupid kimono off of you and devour you like he has for the past couple of lonesome nights. Even the worst fights ended with you sprawled beneath him—tears staining your cheeks while you screamed his name in pure bliss.
His crimson slits are dragging over your swollen and perky breasts, rounded out more than normal. The slight pouch of your belly. The second heartbeat jumping behind it.
Huh.
“Where is Furi? Were my instructions to her of not allowing any visitors in unclear?” you practically shout, working to tie your obi sash in haste. Perhaps you do not wish to spend another moment in his presence.
Sukuna slips inside, sliding the door shut and crossing his arms over his chest. He feels his temper simmer to a manageable level. If anything, your spat from the other night is inconsequential. Truly, he doesn’t even remember what the two of you argued about. His long hours away from the shrine? A servant who stared at him too long? His tendency to be a brute with the people of his domain? It’s usually one of the three.
“I was unaware that I was a visitor in my own shrine,” he retorts, head tilting as he gives you a slow appraisal with all four eyes. “Have you done something new with your hair?” he smirks, tongue darting out to wet his bottom lip.
“Go find a scythe to fuck yourself on,” you curse, a pout on your lips as you stare at yourself in the mirror, clearly unsatisfied with the reflection staring back.
“Maybe I should,'“ he practically purrs out, a curl on his lips as he motions to leave your room.
He stops in place when your gaze flies towards him, doe eyes tinged red and filled with tears. You must have been crying all night, your cheeks swollen and eyelids puffy.
“Woman,” Sukuna starts slow, still marveled at the fact that you have domesticated him into rationality. “Use your words. I may be the strongest creature in all the lands, but what I am not is a mind reader,” he growls, gaze thinning in tepid vexation.
The corner of your lips twitch downward, before a tear slips down your cheek. You suck in a shaky breath, before staring at your reflection once again with disgust. “Something’s wrong with me, Ryomen,” you whisper, voice wavering. “I keep crying. Nothing tastes good anymore. I want to hit and kick you one minute, and then feel your kisses on my throat while you press me into the futon.”
You bite your lip, Sukuna’s form swallowing the background as he hovers over you from behind. Like they belong there, his lower pair of hands settle on your waist, while the other pair shift to correct the poorly tied obi.
Sukuna’s words, vulgar and rash and mean, are an absolute to his actions. Gentle. Loving. Tender.
Leaning down, he presses a kiss against your pulse point, feeling it jump under his teeth. Then, he whispers. Tone husky, a low timbre. “We’ve been fucking like dogs, little bird. When did you last bleed?”
You tense up, eyes nearly bulging out of your head as you sort out your thoughts. “Oh my… N-no, I bled when… when that servant tried to poison you,” you stutter out, picking at your fingernails.
Sukuna can feel your heartbeat picking up as you begin to panic. Two hands find yours, large and calloused thumbs brushing over your supple skin. “That was well over a month ago. How incompetent are your servants that they haven’t noticed?”
You turn to face him, feeling more tears well up, running across your waterline. “I prefer to tend to m-my own sheets.”
Sukuna, a beast of a human, has to hold back his laughter from his wife whose about three seconds away from a breakdown. It is comical just how asinine you can be. Nonetheless, Sukuna has a strong incentive to see you joining him for breakfast again.
“Had I known you women were so complicated, I would have rethought this matrimony,” he grunts against your ear, a hand at your waist sliding up your belly.
“Well, you’re stuck with me,” you mutter stubbornly. You lean back against your husbands broad chest, inhaling deeply, breath shaking. “Us. You’re stuck with us.”
Sukuna’s gaze squints, ears twitching as he picks up on both the beat in your chest and the one in your belly. “I didn’t think it was possible.”
The raw vulnerability in his voice takes you aback. “Neither did I. Do you think we will be good at it?”
“You will,” he states with the utmost confidence, dragging your hair past your shoulder to inhale the scented oil dabbed on your nape. “You are a world’s more merciful than I am.”
You giggle, slapping his hand and allowing him to squeeze you in your intimate places, decorating your skin with short kisses. “That is true.”
The both of you stand there in silence. You and Sukuna never needed to fill the gaps with meaningless words, simply finding comfort in each other’s company. He’s nervous, you can see it in the tight expression he wears. And your pulse hasn’t slowed since you’d learned of what’s blossoming in your womb.
But you have each other. In a world full of curses and strife, Ryomen Sukuna and you managed to find worshiping devotion in one another that triumphs all.
How The King of Curses Treats You Differently (Headcanons)
➵ Sukuna lets you interrupt him. Sukuna has absolutely no patience for interruptions. Anyone who dares cut him off while he’s speaking would usually be met with a terrifying glare that instantly makes them regret it. But you? You can interrupt him without hesitation, even in the middle of an important conversation. Instead of silencing you, Sukuna pauses and lets you finish before continuing, leaving everyone else in the room completely stunned that you’re the only person who can get away with it.
➵ Sukuna lets you order him around. Sukuna doesn’t take orders from anyone. He is the King of Curses, and everyone knows better than to tell him what to do. Yet when you tell him to rest, eat, or stop being reckless, he’ll actually listen. He’ll click his tongue and complain about how demanding you are, but he still does what you asked because for some reason he can never say no to you.
➵ Sukuna lets you nap against him. Sukuna has never been someone who enjoys physical affection. Most people wouldn’t even dare stand close enough to touch him, knowing how easily he could cut their head off. But when you fall asleep beside him, he allows you to rest against him without complaint. He won’t move, won’t wake you up, and won’t push you away. Everyone around him knows that the fact he lets you sleep peacefully against him says more than any words ever could.
➵ Sukuna smirks when you tease him instead of getting angry. Sukuna is feared because nobody dares disrespect him. One wrong comment from anyone else would usually earn them a warning they wouldn’t forget. But when you tease him, mock his arrogance, or roll your eyes at his attitude, he doesn’t get angry. Instead, a small smirk appears on his face because your confidence entertains him more than it annoys him.
➵ Sukuna would let you win small arguments. Sukuna is stubborn and believes his word is final. Nobody would dare argue with him because they already know they won’t win, but with you it's different. You can argue with him over the smallest things, and somehow, you always end up getting your way. He’ll complain, call you impossible, and act annoyed, but he never truly tries to stop you.
➵ Sukuna doesn’t care if you invade his personal space. Sukuna values his personal space more than anything. Nobody touches him, fixes his clothes, or gets close without permission. But you can casually lean against him, adjust his robes, play with his hair, or sit beside him without him pushing you away. You’re the only person who can cross that boundary without him being angry.
➵ Sukuna lets you sit beside his throne. Sukuna’s throne is something everyone fears. It represents his power, and nobody dares approach it without permission. Yet you can walk right up and sit beside him like it’s the most natural thing in the world. The first time it happens, everyone expects him to remove you immediately. Instead, Sukuna simply allows it, silently showing everyone that your place is beside him.
➵ Sukuna doesn’t let anyone to speak badly about you. Sukuna couldn’t care less when people insult him. Their opinions mean nothing to someone like him. But the moment someone speaks badly about you, his entire attitude changes. The room becomes silent, his expression darkens, and everyone immediately understands that disrespecting you is a mistake they won’t get away with. You are the one person he refuses to let others look down on.
➵ Sukuna protects you without hesitation. Sukuna has never been someone who worries about others. Danger never mattered to him, but when you’re involved, he gets serious. Before anyone can even realize you’re in danger, he’s already there, making sure nothing gets close to you. He’ll act like it was nothing afterwards, claiming he simply “didn’t want you getting in the way,” but everyone knows the truth.
➵ Sukuna remembers the little things about you. Sukuna isn’t someone who pays attention to meaningless details. He doesn’t care about people’s favorite foods, habits, or birthday. Yet somehow, he remembers yours. The drink you like, the things that annoy you, the little comments you made weeks ago. If you point it out, he’ll deny caring and say he simply “remembers everything anyone says,” but everyone knows that isn’t true.
➵ Sukuna lets you see his softer side. Everyone only knows Sukuna as cruel and ruthless. Nobody sees him as anything other than the King of Curses. But you get to see the rare moments he doesn’t show anyone else. The quiet moments, the small acts of care, and the way he lowers his guard around you. He would never admit that you’re different, but everyone else can see it.
➵ Sukuna carries you when you’re tired. Sukuna isn’t the type to carry someone just because they’re tired. In his eyes, if you can still walk, then you should. But when he notices your energy fading, your steps becoming slower, or your eyes struggling to stay open, he’ll let out an annoyed sigh before picking you up anyway. If you tell him you can walk yourself, he’ll simply reply, “You were taking too long,” refusing to admit he just didn’t want you pushing yourself.
