Five years.
Today I came face to face with my abuser. My aunt and her husband were at the hospital to see my mother (who is still in a coma, but improving). It was ok. I did ok. But funny, he looked so small and so old. So glad I told on him. Don't wait and do not protect your abuser. Tell. I will listen.
Not a clue.
So my mother is in a coma as of yesterday afternoon. Our family is gathering together. Family includes my abuser. No clue how this will be. I'll let you know. Regardless of awkward situations, I do not regret telling on my abuser. He did not deserve me keeping his secret. If you are a victim, please tell. No matter what.

Protecting the identity of your abuser will only show future sexual abuse victims that is is NOT okay to tell. I outed my abuser very late in life...but it's out. My young daughters are learning that abuse is NOT A SECRET. My abuser was my Uncle Mark Parker in Oklahoma City. The husband of my mother's sister. Happy thanksgiving...please confide in someone and talk about your sexual abuse. Please.

When people say "Oohh. I havent heard from you in a while. Or I havent seen you in a while. Whats up" (and it comes from the people that you NEEVEEERR talked to) Like I want to drop kick your dumbass so hard!! That happened to me alot after highschool. All these people were like "long time, no see" or "you know I really liked you in highschool" and im like UHHH. WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK. You didnt talk to me in highschool so thats all that matters. We didnt talk then and we sure in the hell arent talking now. Like get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.
