PLOT DROP #007 !
More than two months have passed since the death of the team’s microbiologist Nikolai. The team has begun to come to terms with the death of their friend and companion, but the consequences of having one less member still resonate. There’s more work to be shared, but also more rations. Most team members visit his grave a few times a week.
During the time that has passed Heath discovered a new species of grasshopper unlike any the team had brought to the planet. After some research he has declared it a mutant- deviated from one of the species they released. They have also released the mice and rats into the wild; keeping some in the lab in case of a natural extermination event. So far the planet’s ecosystem seems to be growing and thriving.
The screaming at night continues, and the curfew is still in place. But Nico has finished his work on the transport rover so it can now carry up to six people and two crates of supplies. Anna promises that they’ll go on an expedition soon. But it seems as if she is delaying this as much as possible, because she doesn’t want to split up the team or travel when nights are unsafe.
All seems well on Remus but there is a feeling of paranoia that’s begun to set in. Life is valuable on a planet with only thirteen people, but it is also valuable. As summer begins and the winds pick up, there’s a chance for more distaster to strike.
