What I still don’t quite get is...when JJ got the offer from the Pentagon, the one she turned down three times to stay with the BAU, Strauss tells her that it would involve less travelling, even though in hindsight we know that she went to Afghanistan, which most definitely means travelling + being away from her family for an extended period of time. Also, I wonder if she knew what the offer really meant and if they could really just recruit her, especially for such a dangerous job when she turned it down so many times before they forced her to take the job. Last but not least, this fucking episode still hurts like hell and is so not okay and Reid saying “maybe she’s asking for more money” when JJ is in Hotch’s office is really ironic in hindsight
