main / modern verses. ( note : her main verse is an urban fantasy )
brief rundown : eden's original verse. this is an urban / modern fantasy existing in what's based on our world, under the assumption that supernatural beings live among us. eden is a vampire born in meiji era japan, and is now based in las vegas, operating a casino empire called eden's bite. her casino spans over 80 acres, and is an all-inclusive resort ( or you can just pay for what you want based on personal preferential interests ) and hotel. includes two large nightclubs ( one is a secret — non-humans only ), several boutiques and stores amounting to what may as well be a miniature mall, indoor and outdoor botanical gardens, large concert venue, etc. humans and the supernatural alike intermingle, though the humans are heavily unaware. there is a secret supernaturals-only casino and lounge away from the main floor, often used as a more lowkey / casual hangout, or for meetings between friends. inspirations include : raymond reddington, neal caffrey, PJO lotus hotel & casino, supernatural, the vampire diaries, empire of the vampire by jay kristoff, lucifer ( television, 2016 ).
does your muse enjoy gambling? look no further than eden's bite, where there is every possible game imaginable. eden's even figured out how to monetize uno, of all things. and monopoly. there's anything for everyone. strangely child-friendly, but she's only out here to grift adults. eden's like that crazy wine aunt. ttrpg rooms available for rental. competitions for everything.
looking for information? think of eden like an information broker, of sorts. she's got her eyes, ears, and nose in all sorts of things, and all sorts of people. whether personally involved herself or whether she just knows someone or knows someone who knows someone who knows someone. everything has a price, though. and it isn't money that eden wants.
is your muse of inhuman origins? looking for a job, perhaps? eden might need to hire bounty hunters or PIs or clean-up crews from time to time!
or like, do you really need like, an actual job? a job-job? a job that maybe you have to report to the IRS? eden can get you one of those, too.
fan of music? perhaps you've heard of eden's band, PARADIE. she's its singer, song-writer, and instrumentalist. she's had a lot of time to learn basically every instrument and is a one-woman show, except for live shows, which are very rare and exclusive. something of a cult following, for sure.
or is your muse a producer, or in a band of their own? collaboration era!
what if our muses go way back. like, before the 21st century. especially if your muse in a modern world is not human, or a magically altered human.
do you need someone . . . taken care of? eden will eat them deal with them!
have you ever wondered how a vampire gets information out of someone? well, yeah, she's a master of compulsion, but she's also got an underground dungeon and torture room.
general fantasy verses. ( note : vague origins, applicable to any fantasy-based universe where other details can be whittled in )
brief rundown : basically her original origin story except it's not in the real world and it can happen in any vaguely fantasy setting. girl has big dreams, girl travels to the big city, girl gambles, girl meets someone who she can't con for once, girl thinks it's love but it turns out it's not because he turns her into a vampire and abandons her. depending on the setting itself, eden may or may not have a casino. if the setting allows it, she probably does run some sort of gambling den / speakeasy / inn, but not to the massive scale as it is in her original verse, but she'd still be filthy rich. she will always settle in the most wealthy city in the universe after clawing her way up to wrest power into her hands. as always, specializes in blackmail to get what she wants from people of influence. she's kind of like if robin hood were a vampire and a black widow.
early timeline stuff: eden is a freshly-sired vampire and disoriented, confused, and draining the life out of anything she can get her hands on.
later timelines: eden gets rich conning the wealthy, which is much easier to do when you're a vampire with mind-controlling powers. located in probably the capital of any given kingdom. conned killed her way into a place of great social influence, and is well-known for the luxury of her gambling den / lounge, which also breaks off into an inn; also has a hidden speakeasy for non-humans.
honestly, a lot of the plot hooks from her main verse can be applicable here, too.
perhaps your muse runs into eden in her earlier years, maybe even when she was human. she was much different back then. smiles more easily, laughs loudly. she travels a lot, and perhaps meets your muse along the way. she frequents places that have gambling games, as it's how she likes to earn her money. does your muse see her cheating? ask her to teach you how.
and what if your muse runs into her when she's just been turned? whether it's a first meeting, or they knew her when she was human. your muse could be a vampire hunter, or someone she spared. what does your muse do here?
or perhaps she's acting oddly, like she's hiding something. can't look your muse in the eye, stares a little too long at their necks. too sensitive, jumpy. disappears at odd times, refusal to step out into the sun. she's got a secret, now.
is your muse also a vampire? eden's been abandoned by her sire, got no clue what she is, what she's becoming, or what's wrong with her. perhaps your muse can help her.
ah, eden's got her thirst under control now, and finds herself at the top of society's echelon. did your muse know her before? you're an old friend, and for old friends, she trades in favors freely. or perhaps your muse has heard of a mysterious proprietress in the capital who seems to have the answer to everything, and great, great influence. do you need information, or a different kind of help that can't be posted to a public bulletin board?
you've just seen her kill someone, and quite viciously, too. well, seems we're at an impasse. what do we do now?
cyberpunk 2077 / futuristic urban fantasy verses.
brief rundown : very much similar to eden's original main verse. enormous casino, hotel, big on fashion, but this time include access to cybernetics. in cyberpunk 2077, eden is a fixer from las vegas. i still need to write up a verse post for my actual au, but for now, please see this reddit post where i'm pulling a lot of the info from. eden can travel between night city and las vegas often, but usually remains fixed in las vegas. this verse can take on two different routes:
a segue / alternate route from her actual main verse, where she's a vampire having to navigate an evolving world where humans are, while still mortal, not as human as they used to be, and much harder to feed from.
a separate standalone cyberpunk 2077 au, where eden is still human and enchanted by ryuuji ( her sire, in her canon ) into nightlife. originally an edgerunner, eden works out of her family's business, which she later transforms into the empire it is today. ryuuji is a corpo who pushes her and gives her the tools to tap into her business acumen to skyrocket her business, which is eventually renamed into eden's bite. popular among corpos, her casino and hotel is a luxurious resort with an underground society for netrunners and edgerunners alike, with eden becoming a well-known fixer to the underground. ryuuji is heavily involved in arasaka research as part of the team for secure your soul. he convinces eden to join the project as a test subject so that they could live forever, together. something isn't quite right, though. something goes horribly wrong, and eden's personality isn't quite the same.
note: unless it's known / plotted, eden's personality being on an engram is secret. it's cyberpunk 2077: everyone looks good for their age. people just assume so of eden, if they knew her prior. while eden also transforms the family business into eden's bite, it's not incredibly public knowledge that she's its CEO. need to know basis sort of thing, especially with her background of being a former edgerunner.
things are getting heated in night city, and maybe your muse is under a lot of scrutiny. take a trip out of night city and make your way over to las vegas for a vacation, or if you need information that you don't want being sourced back to night city.
vampire— perhaps it's not a well-known fact that supernatural beings exist among human society. your muse thinks it's kind of odd that eden doesn't seem to have any cyberware. like, at all. not even any body mods, like tattoos or piercings. something's off about her and they need to know.
your muse can hire eden as an edgerunner, or perhaps they're also an edgerunner or netrunner and they work together. on what? who knows!
eden's bite is an enormous casino & hotel empire that's well-known across the country. your muse works in the night life's underground and hears rumors through the vine of a fixer who works out of it, and maybe you're not happy with the fixers in night city. but, like all fixers, you meet eden and there is, of course, a catch.
vampire— it's harder than you think, finding a meal in the city these days. yeah, synthetic blood has long since been a thing, but it's disgusting. nothing beats fresh, warm blood, straight from the source. would your muse offer? could they?
league of legends verse.
brief rundown : eden is an ionian orphan. so she thinks, anyway. she never saw her family when they were separated, never saw them die, but at her age, she couldn't go looking for them. she was taken into noxus as many ionian children were. eden was always smart, playing card games and other tricks for coins among village elders when she was young, and continued those games in noxus. she learned the noxian games, and fended for herself that way. learned quite well games of manipulation as she grew older, and eventually, in her twenties, she meets a hemomancer named ryuuji. also being of ionian origin, she was drawn to him, but also for the fact that she could never beat him at any tavern's games. ryuuji teaches her hemomancy and when it becomes apparent she has a natural affinity for it, he takes her to vladimir to join the crimson circle. hemomancy leads itself to a gateway of immortality for the worthy. wip thought but i'm thinking the real ryuuji was killed early on and leblanc is the ryuuji that convinces eden to join the black rose. eventually, eden finds herself also working for the black rose and she's sent to piltover to establish herself and a business called eden's bite, a lush casino. similar to her main verse, though again, extremely sized down. think of it more like a large mansion with related shops not inside the building, but externally attached on the street that she also owns. it has subterranean levels stretching down into zaun, that she operates as a safe haven for the people of zaun. eden funnels the funds from the public operations down to aid zaunites in secret, though there's nothing the black rose doesn't know. it's not a secret so much from the black rose as it is a secret from piltovans, though.
eden has complicated feelings about noxus, a lot of which she masks, because she's come this far because she wants to survive, has done what she needed to in order to survive and one day find out what happened to her family. is your muse a die hard noxian patriot? whether they follow swain's vision of noxus, or still subscribe to the mindset of darkwill's era.
eden's on a trip away from piltover / zaun, and your muse has just seen her consume someone's blood. what the hell are they supposed to do here. oh, god, is she coming toward you?
eden is very wealthy, and perhaps you're a piltovan innovator looking for a benefactor. eden has many reasons of her own to want to be involved in such a relationship.
is your muse a zaunite seeking refuge, looking to start a revolution, etc? eden has connections, wealth, and safety. she'll do what needs to be done to help you, if it means dismantling piltover and its corruption.
