#plot: fall of rocket

The detonations could be felt in the entire city, shaking it´s very foundation. There was a bit of smoke and dust coming from the hatch that lead into the house, but thankfully it wasn´t a fire. Just some remainders of the explosion.

Lances heart seemed to skip a beat as he ran outside, seeing the base caving in on itself, watching as it burrowed his husband below tons of rubble. 

“Guys...a-anyone who can, please, I´ll need help...we need to find Pet...”

Spinel wakes up about an hour later... Where is he? He vaugely rembers having a panic attack--Being TOUCHED, BAD, but now... ??? Falling off the bed, it takes a good few thunks and trips, but Spinel finally manages to literally fall into the room with everyone else.

       Thankfully, it wasn’t too long until he arrived in Giovanni’s office. “Sir, I need to get you to safety. There’s rumors of a plot to assassinate you.” Hopefully he would buy it... it would be a lot less messy for him to get Giovanni out of where he was comfortable, to get him even at least just out in the halls.

“You’re sure we’re at the right place, right?”

It was lucky for everyone that they’d managed to at least grab some civilian clothes and necessities before leaving. They hadn’t had even a chance to talk properly about what had happened before…

Alex had received a series of increasingly frantic texts from Maria as the explosion was reported on the news, clearly very shaken. Domino, on the other hand, double-checked the address.

“And who, exactly, is supposed to be here?”

Proton had never been good at talking to this kid.. he was so nervous, and he was always afraid of saying the wrong thing. But this was an emergency- everyone had to get out, everyone. Giving a few quick, rapid knocks, he waited anxiously for an answer.

“Spinel? It’s me. I got a text from Petrel- it’s time. Let me in please, we have to get out of here.”

Unfortunately, Miles got to him first, holding onto the unconscious executive.

             “I apologize, sir, but we need to get out. There is no time to waste.”

It had been a long day already, for all of them. Lance had just managed to make sure Petrel and Onyx were in the same room in the hospital, both taken care of and not in pain.

Now he and Domino had arrived at the house everyone would share for a while, the former Executive hesitating as he turned the key. This felt...so absolutely monumental. A step into a new life...He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he stepped in. 

The place was not exactly prepared for anyone yet. Sure, the couch, beds and other basics were there, but most of the furniture had yet to be build up. 

“Well...I guess, welcome to my new home? It feels...weird to say it like this. I haven´t really gotten it in my head that...Rocket is gone. That I don´t have to go back...”
