By that point even Caligo was attempting to protect her. The things that were happening couldn’t be possible, the fires and the monsters and the things prowling about couldn’t be real. Most things were kept away from her little corner by this point, the shadow warding them away before they could get close enough to hurt her any more.
Her shoulder hurt, her arm had stopped moving what felt like hours ago. There wasn’t anything that looked wrong with it, just a sharp pain every time her heart beat and a failure for it to react beyond curling her fingers into a loose fist.
Closing her eyes wasn’t an option. The last time she’d done so Caligo had fallen asleep as well, letting the hallucinations or whatever it had been get a hold of her and drag her through another round of memories she’d tried to forget for as long as they’d existed.
Everything had mulled together, her own mind struggling to come up with what had caused this. Flashes of an eater would flood her mind, adding to the monsters circling around her tiny corner of protected darkness. Those thoughts were tossed away almost as quickly as they sprung up, trying to keep the eaters away from her and being completely unable to provide any sort of reasoning for them to be anywhere close enough to have latched onto her or Feli.
She doubted someone was going to come and get her out. Gemma was on her own with Caligo to stand watch over the monsters neither of them was strong enough to fight against. She didn’t know if this was real or all in her head anymore, either way she didn’t have a chance of getting out of this all by herself.
