possible prompts ;)

howdy, since i have ten million wips thought i’d suggest some prompts (that revolve mostly around bucky’s occupation):

1. Bucky working at the botanical gardens and encounters Steve, who goes there often to unwind (includes soft!bucky who has flowers in his hair and recites poetry, mostly about flowers bc both are his Passion)

2. Bucky working at an art gallery/museum (who rambles on about the pieces with too much confidence but blushes when he realises how much he’s talking) 

3. Bucky working as a kindergarten teacher surronded by smol children and wears nothing but soft fluffy jumpers and hits it off with Captain America who has come to give a speech to these tiny humans 

4. Bucky working as a simultaneous interpreter and has the job of translating to world leaders the words of steve ‘sass’ rogers (possible enemies to lovers due to steve being impossible)

5. Steve rescuing hostages and somehow finds having to protect Bucky, a hostage, only to find out he was one of the assailants :O (another possible enemies to lovers, mayb Bucky is an anarchist, maybe he’s undercover, or mayb he’s a straight up criminal idk) 

6. Bucky being a mountain (park) ranger and having to help Steve and his team navigate the massive area to help catch a bad guy, or find a door in the ground that leads to a secret base? (he’s the best at what he does and won’t take steve’s shit at going in head first you need to learn the basics of this mountain steven)

Sorry it’s a tad long i have too much ✨inspiration✨ but not enough motivation to write these myself :(

reincarnated/cloned bucky sitting a university history class studying the great Captain America and the Howlies getting struck by major déjà vu he can’t explain. Coincidentally, Steve Rogers is coming into his class to be a guest lecturer. This shouldn’t be awkward at all.

I have a plot bunny. This is a fic I started to write but I just don't have time to finish it. It takes place during the battle of New York. Bucky is a veteran, and amputee and has PTSD. He's trying to take cover during the attack but he sees an injured boy struggling to get to safety. Bucky goes to save him but an alien crosses his path. He shields the kid from being shot, accepting his fate. But the blast never comes. Steve blocks with his shield. 1/2

(continued...) Later as Steve is going back to his apartment, he finds Bucky sleeping on a bench. Steve convinces him to go home with him and Bucky reluctantly agrees. Bucky is initially very wary of Steve because he figures he has very old fashioned values and Bucky is gay. But he slowly get to know the real Steve and is surprised at how progressive he is. Steve is also horrified to know his image was used to recruit men to the military during the wars the latter half of the 20th century(2/2)

Despite the story concocted by the media right after his defrosting, Steve Rogers hasn’t set foot in Brooklyn since 1942. The rest of New York was changed enough — he couldn’t imagine walking would-be familiar streets and recognizing nothing of the neighborhood he grew up in. Add to the fact that he’s sure he left his soulmate behind when he put the Valkyrie into the ice, and he’s had every reason to keep himself as far away from Brooklyn as possible. But now it’s 2019 and, following a few harried years on the run, he and the remnants of his team have finally been granted pardons, and all anyone wants is to go home. Steve finds himself back in New York for the first time in years, and he’s desperate enough for something to ground him that he’s willing to brave Brooklyn. It’s there he meets Bucky Barnes, the charming owner of Cool Beans, a quaint little coffeeshop that doubles as an adoption center one Saturday out of every month. Bucky is the whole package — brilliant, witty, a lover of dogs, and, yeah, he’s definitely Steve’s soulmate, if the star-shaped mark unabashedly peaking out of his deep v-necks is any indication. Now Steve just has to pluck up the courage to tell him, and maybe find a reason to fall in love with Brooklyn all over again.

For the plot bunnies thing Steve & the Avengers on a post-hellicariers Hydra hideout raid, and they find the Winter Soldier held there like a captive. At first they’re excited to finally take in and take down the ultra assassin, but when they pull the mask off, it turns out he’s just a kid, maybe early 20s, kidnapped as a child and raised to become the perfect soldier to rival even captain america. He doesn’t even know what the world is like outside anymore, having been taken so young. They take him back to the tower to try and rehabilitate him, maybe even recruit him into the Avengers. As they get to know each other, Steve realizes how much they actually have in common. They were both young men, shoved into a world of fighting, bodies changed drastically, stumbling into a world they don’t recognize or understand. And Steve has always wanted to help the little guy. Maybe he can take care of him, help him out in the way he needed help when he was defrosted.

In 1942, Erskine’s experiments were not intended to merely create the perfect soldier -- they dabbled in the occult, as well. When Steve Rogers volunteered for the procedure that would result in him becoming Captain America, he died... only to become one of the undead. A vampire. He gained enhanced speed, strength, sharper senses, and a body fit to hold the righteous heart he’d always possessed. The only real downside was his new thirst for blood. But it was war, and Captain America had plenty of enemies he didn’t feel too guilty about draining. His fight with Schmidt (more demonic than vampiric, Steve would say) ended with Steve fatally wounded, and when the Valkyrie went down he fell into a stasis of sorts, with no fresh blood to heal his wounds or sate his hunger. But he’s just been found in 2012 and reanimated, told to keep his vampirism to himself because the public can’t be allowed to know their beloved Captain America is a monster. No one tells him to keep his distance from Bucky Barnes, though, a historian who wants to tell the real story behind Captain America... and who might be more willing than anyone to accept exactly who Steve Rogers is.

Bucky and Steve grow up together - with a twist! 

Bucky has always had the ability to time travel, but since he’s just a young boy he can’t control it. So he periodically ends up in the 1920/30′s where Steve is. All the neighborhood folks just think he’s a lonely street orphan who dresses oddly and has a wild imagination.
