Cassidy had no idea how long she’d sat there, swollen eyes never leaving the body that lay before her. Minutes.. Hours.. It all blurred. The screaming and cries from people around her had diminished to nothing, the original only ever looking up when someone got too close to them, when someone stepped too near Godfrey’s body. Her hand still clasped around his, the wolf completely shattered that he couldn’t return the hold, stupid stuffed shark tucked into her lap, she growled deep in her throat as footsteps approached, stopping beside her. “--The next person I have to tell to go away is going to have to worry about a hell of a lot more than a fucking bomb.” Even as she spoke, she wheezed against the burning in her chest, coughing, the movement alone forcing the throbbing in her skull to increase.
“Come on..” She muttered to herself. Savannah could do this, she knew she could, she had every belief that she could -- if not for herself, then for everyone else in here with her that couldn’t. Stilling her ever shaking hands, she focused on the collapsed foundations before her, pieces shifting just as her mind willed them too. She’d seen to as many as she could, her energy alone not enough to heal them all, one or two at best, most of them well past her ability to help without her magic. If she could just create some kind of opening, she could increase their chances, of not being stuck down here like rats. The spluttering from nearby distracted her, the blonde whirling around, eyes searching for who it might have been -- silently cursing herself for not being able to focus, even when she knew that was her best bet right now. “-- Shay? -- Christopher?.. Whoever it is.. I can’t see you, just.. can you try call out?” Flames had flickered out in time, Savannah not able to adjust her eyes to the dark just yet.
