WELCOME TO AMORY, NEW YORK.
Founded in 1940 by Amory Montiel, the town of Amory was never meant to be the bustling and comfortable town it has become. At the outset, Amory had started to build on the land in hopes that he could expand his family’s olive oil business in a way that would help the Montiel family substantially recover from the Great Depression. What was once a workers town, became a safe haven for people seeking refugee from the effects of WWII. Built by hardworking immigrants, veterans and folks Amory had never imagined himself meeting, the town became a home and soon enough shops started to pop up and a real community started to form by laborers who worked at the Montiel factory. Today, Amory is the home of Division I championship basketball team out of Amory University, countless community members who have either been there for generations or moved to start over and one of the first Montiel Olive Oil Factories.

Silver Linings is a character development driven, plotless roleplay set in the fictional town of Amory which is located in upstate New York, a little over an hour from the city. Our main goal as admins is to be as transparent and intentional as possible, to provide every member with a safe space for plotting and having fun. Additionally, we are adamantly dedicated to ensuring that our group of members and characters is a representation of what the world actually looks like.
