LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. REY HAS NEEDED HER UNCLE WEDGE FOR A LONG ASS TIME NOW AND i... kind of low key love the idea of Wedge helping her bring Luke back? Granted she has to do this alone, but to sit down with him and figure out a plan would warm my heart (he’s still her dad gdi i will make it so.) Also.... finding out Wedge maybe joined up the resistance again to help with their efforts because they lost all of their pilots.... ?

@ragebriidled yo i want the nastiest anger fest in the whole wide world with these two. rey is humble and sad and thinks she’s no one, but ya got ya girl over here being like LOL FUCK JAKKU I DESERVE BETTER. and i /really/ love that foil? like this idea that they came from the same place and keep ending up at the same Point B and it should almost be frustrating to one, if not both, of them? I ALSO have a dark side verse we can explore if you’d rather have rey & j.c. to be partners in badassery.

i’m still so about having them be childhood-ish friends that helped the other weather the... weather. i feel like they’re going to have this unspoken connection because they’re children of jakku, and i want to see what they can do with the resistance together -- maybe we could even play up on the idea that rey is faltering to the dark side and violet is someone who keeps her grounded?
