Loved the new Pluck story! I very rarely see much of Pluck fanfiction anymore. I miss Dark and Dicey
Yay! I’m happy you liked it. And I don’t seek out Pluck Fan-Fics, but I’m sure someone out there writes for him. And yeah, every so often I go back and watch the series again.
I’ve been a huge fan of Nate (the guy who plays Pluck) for sooooo long. His music is awesome, is a hilarious guy, plus also a little good looking.
Can I ask what stories you’re working on at the moment?
I am currently working on:
- Nsfw with Danny (Male!Vampire)
- Nsfw with Arik (Male!Naga x female!reader)
- Monster Interacts: What monsters do when you’ve had a bad day.
- Pluck x reader when he confesses his affections to them
Edit: Also I am writing a Markus story too. A sequel to his first little story
May I request a sfw lil thing with Pluck, the Kenku DnD Character? (Bc I love Kenkus and the last story you did with him was precious) where he's basically courting the reader... But like a bird would. Bringing them shiny stones or little shiny trinkets he gets. Leaving food like berries or something for them to eat. Puffing up a bit when they're around to try and seem bigger. Etc etc, with female pronouns for the reader. Thank you in advance!
^^^^^^^^^^^ This gif is totally accurate of when Pluck actually starts a conversation with the reader because he’s been so flustered or nervous to talk to them!!
Sorry, I love Pluck so much. He’s an adorable little birb man. Also Nate’s just a hilarious guy! But I totally accept this request because PLUCK!!
Note: If you don’t know who Pluck is, he is a character from the youtube D’n’D series Dark & Dicey. I recommend giving it a watch. It’s really entertaining.
Everything hurt. Everything burned. It ached to walk and Pluck was looking forward to a nice long sleep at the Pretty Cook.
Even Anya was quieter than usual as the group made their way back to town. Her own injuries had left her in a sulking mood, and for once Pluck didn’t need to deal with her constant nagging.
Trixia yawned and stumbled into the Pretty Cook; followed by Corvax and Werblund. The little man immediately went to the bar and ordered a drink from the Cook. Who grumbled a chuckle as the party collapsed into their spots around the inn.
“So, a hard days work then, aye?” The Pretty Cook smirked. Anya groaned and waved her hand dismissively. Her wit seemed to have left her for now.
“It was a trying few days.” Corvax agreed. Taking a seat beside Werblund. “But we’re all alive. Thankfully.”
“Speak fer yerself,” Pluck mumbled as he slowly made his way to the stairs. He was done with everyone today. He needed a rest.
“Awww, already runnin’ to yer girl already, mate?” Werblund called after the bird-man. Who clicked his beak in irritation, choosing to ignore his friends as they shouted after him.
“She’s gonna freak when they see those wounds!” Anya said.
“Say hi to the babies for me!” Trixia exclaimed.
Pluck made his way towards his room. The familiar sight of the dusty hallways of the Pretty Cook inn was somewhat comforting. His ruffled feathers eased a little as he stood outside his inn room door.
Behind it, he could hear you laughing softly. Cooing gently as a few small hisses and squeaks spoke to you. Pluck sighed, a wave of calm washing over him as he knocked on the door and opened it.
You looked up from the nest of little lizard babies as Pluck entered the room. Your eyes widened and you rushed to his side when you noticed the crumpled, burnt feathers and half healed gashes along his arms.
“Oh my gods, Pluck! What happened?” Your fingers brushed along your lovers feathers tenderly. Apologising when your hand touched a rather tender spot, causing Pluck to squawk and recoil.
“Eh, I’m alright, love. Just some light beatings from a Golem.” Pluck said. Attempting to sound light-hearted. But he caved under your worried gaze. He cupped your cheek and directed your eyes away from his wounds. “I’m alright, sweetheart. I promise.”
You huffed in exasperation and gently tugged Pluck towards the bed. You sat him down on the musty blankets and went to get your medical pouch.
Pluck watched you as you fiddled around with some herbs and gauze. You looked tired; and Pluck knew you probably didn’t sleep very well since he left with his friends.
You always worried for him. But he always came home. He missed you too much to stay away for too long.
Beside him, the tiny lizard babies crawled out of their nest of blankets and rags to clamber onto Pluck’s feathers. A few managed to croak out a small “Dad” or “Da” as their small arms hugged his massive frame.
“Careful, little ones, your silly father is hurt.” Despite your carefree tone, Pluck saw the concern and he tilted his head. Pressing his beak against your cheek as you sat beside him.
You smiled and pressed a kiss against him before taking his arm and began cleaning the wound.
“Anythin’ interesting happen while I was gone?” Pluck asked. His hand resting on your thigh as you very cautiously wiped the first gash with a clean rag.
“Without you and the others in town, nothing interesting happens.” You said in a teasing manner. Smiling when one of the lizard babies scrambled onto your shoulder to see what you were doing. “The kids missed you. William had a nightmare and called for you.”
Pluck turned his head to look at one of the babies. William looked embarrassed, but he was one of the few that choose to stay snuggled against Pluck. The others returned to their nest to sleep or play.
“Don’t worry, little William, I’m here now. Yer safe with me.” Pluck told the baby. His fingers petting the lizard, a little awkwardly, on the head.
“And by the look of these injuries, you won’t be leaving for a few days.” Your tone was pointed and firm. Giving Pluck the indication that arguing would be pointless. Not that Pluck would ever do such a thing. He missed you. And after almost dying earlier today, he didn’t want to leave your side for any reason right now.
He leaned forward and laid his head against your shoulder. Careful his beak didn’t poke you as he nuzzled into your neck.
You smiled as his arms moved out of your grip to wrap around his waist. And for the first time in a few days, Pluck felt like he could breathe clearly.
You kissed his feathered head and stroked your hand over his feathers. Moments passed and you could see his body relax. The puffed up feathers began to lay flat against his body and his eyes closed. Enjoying your calming presence as you hushed him with soft spoken words. Sweet whispered nothings.
“Next time, please be more careful.” You said. “Or maybe I can come. Make sure you don’t get hurt. Maybe save your feathery hide from a roasting fire.”
Pluck chuckled and squeezed your waist. “That was one time, love. But maybe you and I should take some time off. Bring the babies someplace nice and have a little picnic somewhere.”
“Can Sir Piggleton come too?” You asked. A small spark of excitement brightening your voice. It made Pluck’s chest tighten with adoration.
“Yes. He can come too. I’m sure he’d love ta see ya again. I think you’re his favourite.”
You grinned and pressed a kiss to Pluck’s forehead. Holding him for a few moments more before pulling away and tapping his beak playfully.
“Now, keep still. I will not let you leave this bed until you let me clean these burns.”
Pluck groaned sarcastically and collapsed back. His head resting near the nest of babies as he croaked.
“I’m to tired for this, love. Can’t it wait.”
“Infection waits for no bird!” You exclaimed. Taking his arm and hauling him up to a sitting position again. “I’m not cuddling a half clean, druid.”
“Fine, fine. Only for you, (y/n).”
