I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much ocean ice. It’s crazy! Some of the coves are completely covered, which is cool to see if there is any real motion to the water. Driving by Folly Cove this morning it looked like the ice was breathing as the water rolled and rippled underneath. Plus, at that point the ocean was steaming, which was also quite a sight! I popped down the road to a few places where you can get a good view of the sunset. No matter which direction you go, you are guaranteed to get a good show. But this beach (plum cove beach) is particularly spectacular. The last 2 photos were on the way back home, but I kept feeling compelled to turn around for one more viewing down at lanes cove because every time I looked in the rear view mirror the sky was more neon orange, fluorescent pink and more deep lavender.
