Hi! Betty is alive, and this story is not abandoned. I wrote myself into a corner a few months ago and have to scrap the whole chapter I was planning, and though I'm sure this answer is getting old, I just don't have the creative energy to work on the fic right now 😔
IRL, I've been traveling and researching and getting the chance to do my favorite kind of writing which is going to help me personally and professionally, and is very exciting!! It's something I've been working toward for years now! It's setting me up for another degree program and to professionally publish my writing!
Which also means: all my writing and reading time is going toward this project and not any fanfiction at the moment.
I love Betty/Peggy and Steve and their story and I've got some fun stuff planned coming up for them, but right now it'll take work for me to get back into it (I'd have to reread the entire fic for a start, plus all my notes and plans in my doc) and is something that I would have to sacrifice real world stuff for.
For now, this is where our favorite two idiots are:
Steve is helping Peggy integrate into his organization while trying to tell himself he shouldn't trust her or let himself have feelings for her (but, unfortunately, the deeper she gets in his organization, the more he sees how capable and brilliant she is, and he slowly realizes all the things he loved about Betty were the parts that were really Peggy poking through)
Peggy is helping Steve run his organization while trying to tell herself she shouldn't trust him or let herself have feelings for him (but, unfortunately, the deeper she gets in his organization, the more she understands him and starts to see the parts of him that he didn't show Betty)
