That's great..but where are the other races/ethnicities?
People getting butthurt over a motivating message. Thanks for the laugh of the day.....WHERE ARE THE WOMEN WITH BLUE HAIR, NO HAIR, HAIRY LEGS AND PITS...OH MY GOD SO OFFENDED. Get the eff over yourselves, the race card is so 1960's. I am Iranian, I do not see any Persian women there, but I am not getting butthurt because its a SIZE campaign! Gah!
Pointing out the lack of color does not detract from the message. It's called intersectionality, people. Read about the Hottentot Venus. Search up political cartoons about about Queen Lilliokalani and America's imperialist days. Watch movies featuring the Mammy stereotype. A huge reason for today's fatphobic/tatoophobic/muschle-shaming culture is because the association of non-mainstream bodies with women of color. Because of both skin color and our natural curves, we were (still are) considered less worthy than are white sisters. While you're telling people to shut up about skin color there are 13 year olds starving themselves and bleaching their skin to look like the standard white beauty. Girls and grown women who are trying to "love their body" could have taken the lesson from this post with a grain of salt. But now their struggle is being silenced by women who don't know that the fat acceptance movement was built on centuries of women of color going against the mainstream euro-centric standards shackled onto female bodies everywhere.
And stop comparing skin color to shaved legs. It's dehumanizing
