Meet Chasqui the plush donkey! After over 150 hours of hard work and engineering, this soft friend is finished! This is the largest costume we have made yet- to achieve the proportions we were after, they had to be larger than life!
Wearer can see from both eyes and mouth. The ears are removable for travel. The belly, arm, and leg padding is removable (except the one leg that intersects the extremely long heel-to-neck zipper, that one has the padding permanently attached).
The client's character design featured the purple heart on the tush tag- I decided to carry the heart motif throughout the costume, with the "nails" in the horseshoes and the pupils also being heart-shaped.
I learned a lot working on this donk, and am very proud of the outcome. Also, note: model shown is shorter than the owner- the legs should look better on them!
