OKAY. OKAY I HAVE ONE THING I’VE BEEN DYING TO SAY

The first thing I thought of when I saw him was that…he looks eerily like qifrey…just with longer hair. Like I have not seen two characters who look so similar in the face like qifrey and deanreldea do—and this author makes A Point to put a lot of noticeable differentiation between characters

And then ofc there was that whole scene earlier in the story where qifrey was asking if the brimmed cap had seen another brimmed cap ‘with his visage’….so….was that an implication that there’s someone running around with qifrey’s appearance?

I’m not saying they’re connected, but I am very suspicious of Dean. Especially with the whole ‘he’s related to a line of witches that had the power to control life and death’

And on a side note, he’s so much younger looking than I thought he’d be?? PLUS he has a kid?

you and gagamaru are so biblically canon to me so im going with his

- him taking you camping for the first time, and helping you set up the tent and he can’t help but find it cute how your face scrunches up when you are focusing on setting up the structure

- gagamaru takes it upon himself to wash your hair, that’s not his job it’s his duty (tm) and he gets quite sad when there are days where he doesn’t get the chance (rip king)

- gagamaru in my mind is very willing to get a tattoo of a picture where you two are holding hands on his bicep. he’s thought of it a bunch, knows the style, where he wants to go specifically for it !

Okay oh my god okay I have so much to discuss wrt garp he is such a brain worm character to me ugh and truthfully I’ll have even more to say when u catch up fully bc Crazy Shit Happens between Marineford and the current manga (big shocker I know) but I can def discuss some of it…….

Garp is fundamentally a character who makes vast personal sacrifices for what he deems to be the greater good, and Marineford is obviously one of the big examples of this bc he literally does let his own ward be executed even though he is smart and aware enough to know it’s a cowardly political move and even though he is explicitly outraged by what is happening. He chooses to step aside because he prioritizes the organization of the marines as one that in his opinion helps the greater good—in, obviously, direct contrast to Luffy who follows his own fundamental moral thought process of “I don’t care what the context is, I won’t lose what’s mine and I’ll do what I want”

And luffy consistently makes comments about how he isn’t a hero and doesn’t want to be one. later on he explicitly says “heroes share their meat and I want to eat all my meat” which. Is a very explicit explanation for who he is and why because his grandfather IS a hero (explicitly called the hero of the marines), and his father is on the opposite end of the spectrum as a hero of the common folk—and luffy is what they abandoned to be heroes. So ofc he doesn’t want to be a hero, ofc he clutches onto everything he thinks of as his and refuses to let go, ofc he has this almost childlike selfishness and stubbornness when it comes to his loved ones bc he was let go!!!

N e way. That’s my take. And we are perhaps rearing up for an even more fascinating parallel to Marineford in the near future but I won’t go into that until ur current 🫣 JFNCJDN but yeah luffy and garp r v much foils and it’s Fascinating to me 👍🏻

PLUVI THIS TAKE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY BLEW MY MIND ?????? i really wasn’t seeing the parallels between garp and dragon and luffy - where they choose to be heroes and abandon their families in doing so and how that ties into luffy just wanting to be with his loved ones that adds a whole new layer to the eneis lobby arc w robin !!! 8. what are the major visual motifs in your character’s battle animations?

this is something id unfortunately haven’t thought up of yet but i do think her skill would be sort of typical healing animation where you would see her clutch her right arm ! her ult would be a more like aggressive animation where you see the silhouette of the monster she becomes and her right arm would look like this howl’s in howl’s moving castle

again with the theme of her clutching her arm - it would be one of her idle animations where her right arm has a aura around it that’s weirdly colored and looks very unnatural. her second animation would be her texting and if you put the camera behind her by facing forward you can see her texting different members of the express
