you see, Miles Edgeworth was released into Among Us to coincide with the release of the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, and as such we have a past history of specifically an Among Us outfit being used to accompany a game release. this means that Ace Attorney 7 will be announced independently of the Nintendo partners showcase because there will be a separated Ace Attorney-dedicated livestream to celebrate the anniversary and the concurrent nature of the Apollo Justice game. therefore there will be at least three Ace Attorney games announced within the next two months, two of which will be Ace Attorney 7 and the PLvsAA remaster, as well as merchandise such as artbooks being revamped and perhaps even printed and smaller items that can affordably be made in the US, which is done so because Capcom Cafe will open 10 new locations in every city within a reasonable proximity to the majority of US citizens and we will finally get Ace Attorney cafe. i have pretty solid arguments for why phoenix would still have a strong support system in the seven year gap, but there is untapped potential in layton being a part of that system, especially if kristoph is threatening phoenix or others from ace attorney. my arguments:
hershel’s in academia, not the legal system
hershel’s not in japanifornia
hershel isn’t even on the same continent
most importantly: hershel’s brother, boy best friend, and assistant are all varying levels of mass criminals. phoenix presenting forged evidence is small potatoes
