So I guess since I've been reading Dreams of Hope I wanted to give a a little shoutout? Mini shill? An official recommendation.

Sky's fic really encapsulates the raw joy of what PMD is to me, like…its just a guy so excited to have his dreams come true of meeting his Pokémon partner and if that doesnt resonate for a PMD fan, I dont know what would.

Like I want to read more cozy fics with loving cozy comfort vibes. It still has the PMD fun and adventure, but I like cozy reading. And thats coming from the person who loves writing action, comedy… ya know, shonen inspired stuff.

I'm still working through it, but its super easy to pick up, with nice, short chapters. Easy to read for a bit and set down.

And its a finished fic. So no worries over a cliffhanger.

Im excited to continue this one and recommend it. ^^

Another fic I've been working through, Explorers: Skyhunters!!

This fic is SNAPPY and doesn't waste any time - you will understand how this story works and why its characters are so cool in the first chapter. Recommend TTS on this one.

The writing style takes an adjustment period - it's not afraid to pull full in medias res and leave you in the dust. But when you acclimate, you start to appreciate how concise this story is. It gets things moving quickly, dives into the juicy stuff, but never feels rushed - just skips preamble.

I recommend Text-To-Speech because having it read to you, you begin to appreciate the sort of natural-speaking voice of the narrator and the characters.

And these are unique characters with a unique premise - bounty hunters, where the partner, Rin, is a ex-serial town prankster that often seems to suffer from intense bouts of anxiety. She's in the guild of bounty hunters to serve time for her crimes.

Yun, the human, is the only girl that managed to get through to Rin and help the vulpix slowly turn a new leaf. But it's hard for a girl as sweet as Yun to make it in a underhanded world of thieves, crooks and bandits. All the while helping to keep Rin's intrusive thoughts in check.
