I’m learning about Kyubey’s NOBLE CAUSE! Which is... essentially the plot of Monsters, Inc except the energy needs to sustain the universe and the most energy expended is when Magical Girls transform to witches. 

And in the course of this explanation HE ADMITS TO BEING AN ABUSER.

Kyubey admits ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS to know he is omitting information important to the girls BECAUSE IT UPSETS THEM. 

He’s said that if he told them all, they would never make the contract. 

WHICH MEANS CONSENT WASN’T GIVEN 

Because he KNEW they WOULD NOT GIVE CONSENT if he gave them ALL THE INFORMATION 

One day I will need to read a meta that’s hopefully out there that compares this story to one of teen girls dealing with the abuse they’re subjected through via manipulation, gas lightning, and patronization.

So... of the few ‘spoilers’ i knew of this show before I started, like it being dark, was that this show is notoriously bad for queerbaiting, but like, HOW ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO READ THIS?! Like, show, you simply can’t tell me that at the end of the day, this, right here, is just friendship. 

Okay, that’s just my take. Friends can go to great lengths—look at Madoka! But just... JUST! Look at her!!!

OMG, I can’t unsee Kyoko as @docholligay now. I mean, it’s not coonstant, BUT THIS FOR SURE SCREAMED IT. 

Yes, even the face pounding part. 

Especially when she moves immediately on to soften her words. 

And I’m just sitting here, staring at the computer, wondering why everyone else failed to put the logic of what Kyoko is saying in such simple, understandable, and obvious terms!! 

Homura, next time you reset the timeline or whatever it is you did, just... take Kyoko with you ffs.

OMG!! That sequence was sooo beautiful. How did it come to this?? Ahhh! 

I was so confused when Kyoko kept insisting on helping Sayaka. I think it comes back a little bit to my relating with Sayaka so much. Sometimes I hear myself talk and cringe and think no one would want to be near me. It’s not a sense I feel when I actually feel like Sayaka was in the early show, but when I get headstrong and dig my heels in about something (I’d like to think that something isn’t typically disliking a person dismissing their attempts at putting stuff behind us, but if I’m being honest... that... can happen). I’ve been like, feeling shame on behalf of Sayaka, so I’m sitting here just like... bewildered at Kyoko’s actions. 

And now every. time. we. get. a. little. more. I diiie a litte! I cannot imagine what it would have been like, watching this as a kid. Even as an adult in a stable relationship, I’m just blown away on how others can love someone like Sayaka even after what she’s become in this show. Even while everything is falling to piece and breaking apart and I half expect both Sayaka and Kyoko to die and be pissed... it’s reassuring. Comforting.
