I wish I knew the real story behind this plane,why its been immortalized this way,what makes it different from all the other planes that flew back then,and thus why its on stilts. All I know is what I was told as a child,this was one of Papua New Guineas first planes. On far end of the Airport there is a similar plane,I wonder if they were of the same fleet. One thing is for sure,they hold a lot of history,history I wish I knew so I could share it with others who may also be interested.
