In the mornings when I walk Tess I often see sleepy little bees just waking up. They like to sleep on the big thistles blooms. The last couple of days I've come across a few that were quite precariously perched and accepted some help from me to get some place a bit safer. These little bumbles also like to do morning calisthenics to get themselves going, which is something I can appreciate. If you're curious, these little ladies could be one of three common bumbles in my area; the Hunt's bumblebee, the black tailed bumblebee, or the forest bumblebee. I'm not skilled enough to tell the difference, as all three look pretty similar. Would love if anyone can id them more accurately. #bees #bumblebee #pnw #pnwpollinators #adventuresindogwalking https://www.instagram.com/p/ChdeL15vy0I/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
