The jaw bone of a Weewarrasaurus pobeni, found encased in an Opal fossil by Opal buyer Mike Poben.
Now, when I read up on it, I’m finding that it was unearthed at the Lightning Ridge opal mines, but articles are also mentioning the name of the Wee Warra opal field.
The Weewarrasaurus sounds adorable! It existed during the Cretaceous Period about 100 million years ago and was the size of a dog, or comparable to a Labrador in description AND it fed on vegetation :).
