imagine a pocket-sized you wading through an ocean of crispy autumn leaves - red, orange, and gold crunching in your hands as you press out a path for yourself, parting the leaves much like moses parted the red sea in the story. the sides of your tunnel threaten to cave in, but you literally plow through, because you are on a mission darn it, and not even mother nature can stop you from reaching what you are certain is resting at the center of this pile of leaves.
the wind rustles through the branches of the tree above, blowing a new layer of dry leaves onto the forest floor. one particularly golden leaf lands directly on top of you, completely engulfing your tiny body, and you fall backward with a squawk under the massive weight of it. to make matters worse, your struggle causes the tunnel to collapse on top of you, and everything goes dark.
unrestrained giggles spill out from somewhere deep within the mound of leaves, warm and sweet like cinnamon apple pies and autumn spice lattes. you feel as if the cool earth is shifting, cracking, tilting, now so warm warm warm beneath you. the leaves fall away to reveal a soft halo of dappled sunlight framing jungkook’s smiling face, eyes scrunched in glee as he lifts you up and out of your leafy bed. you pout that he ruined the game - you could have and would have found him and won. jungkook dusts the dirt off his distressed jeans, tucks you into the pocket of his leather jacket, says you worked hard enough so he came to find you, and now that you’re together, you both win.
imagine a pocket-sized you standing on the window sill and tiptoeing as you attempt to spread fake cobwebs over one of jimin’s potted plants. it’s finally that spooky time of year, and while the rest of bangtan are sprawled over the floor in front of you sorting candies into little trick-or-treat bags for ARMY, you do what you can to bring a little halloween spirit to the dorm.
it’s appropriately stormy outside this evening with howling winds that carry the occasional smatterings of rain against the window. after a while you hear an odd thump—thump sound against the glass. thinking nothing of the noises (it was starting to rain pretty hard now, after all), you finish off decorating the now spookily-cobwebbed cactus. it is then that you hear that strange noise again. thump—thump—thump, and you’re certain they’d come from directly above you.
you glare suspiciously at the boys, but each one of them is busying themselves with the halloween goody bags. gulping, you slowly drag your eyes up the window.
slowly, slowly, and then —
several things happen at once:
1) all the lights go out,
2) a giant flash of lightning zigzags between the clouds, bathing the entire room in blue-white light,
3) the sky cracks open with a thunderous roar,
4) the boys scream bloody murder,
5) and finally, you find yourself toppled to the ground by some big, red, slimy monster falling from the sky.
the entire dorm is in chaos for what seems like forever but is really no more than three seconds. when yoongi finally sets the light back on in the room, the only remaining sounds heard are your panicked shouts and cackling laughter that you think sounds suspiciously like—
“jeon jungkook! what did you do?!”
you open your eyes and find that the monster you were tackled by was really just a gummy spider made slick with…with….what even is this??? glancing quickly at the window, you now see that it is covered with maybe half a dozen gooey candy spiders, all slowly slipping down the glass and leaving trails of ooze in their paths.
jungkook tosses his head back in an evil laugh, then he takes a spider out of his mouth (neon blue and now shiny with spit—oh sweet baby jesus the goo, IT’S SPIT), aims it at the window and hollers, “TRICK OR TREAT!!!”
request prompt: pocket army having a little dream where she’s the big one and yoongi is the pocket sized one?
imagine a pocket-sized you falling asleep in your dollhouse one night only to wake up with the little plastic chimney digging into your back, your socked feet dangling down one side of the dollhouse with your neck arched backward off the other side with the crown of your head awkwardly resting on the carpeted floor.
you groan as you roll your non-pocket-sized body off the uncomfortable plastic house, but you hear a garbled scream from down below once your body tips toward the ground.
the next thing you know, a pocket-sized min yoongi is prodding you in the face with a white cotton swab. he’s got his pale body shoved into an iron man sock and is whining something about the lack of pocket-sized black clothing in your wardrobe. your mouth is still dropped open in shock, so the tiny yoongi continues to scowl and prod at your cheek, his whines getting louder as he hops in sock, scooting even closer to your face to ensure you’re hearing his displeasure.
from behind yoongi, you can just make out a pocket-sized jungkook and seokjin fighting over a pink cardigan. jimin is lying on the floor with a giant iPhone propped across his body as he attempts to take a photo of a pocket-sized namjoon in a mini dress, all the while taehyung and hoseok are dressed in ridiculously bright and sparkly outfits, strutting around like high fashion models with taehyung rapping, “GUCCI BAE,” to the tune of cypher pt4.
your brain short-circuits and the still-naked yoongi wrapped in his sad little sock is suddenly crowding your vision and calling your name.
you wake up to that same face prodding your forehead with his pinky finger. he’s normal-sized again, dressed in his trademark all-black outfit. he looks down at you in concern and asks what you were dreaming about.
still partially out of it, you whisper, “gucci bae.”
request prompt: ive been craving a jungkook + anime scenario lately *^*
imagine a pocket-sized you walking through jungkook’s shelf full of manga, anime figurines, and superhero comic books. at the forefront of the display are multiple one piece and iron man figurines, each elaborately-muscled figurine oozing with masculinity. you chuckle at one especially bulging figure of zoro and steal one of his three gigantic swords, swinging it around in your most exaggerated interpretation of the legendary swordsman’s killer moves.
you get way too into it and accidentally swipe your sword into a tall set of empty figurine boxes. they topple to the floor, revealing the collection of hot pink and sparkly magic girl dolls and figurines that jungkook had CLEARLY wanted to keep hidden forever.
you squeal and run up to run your fingers through the soft satin of sailor moon’s ribbons and the delicate pink enamel of cardcaptor sakura’s staff.
by the time jungkook walks into his room, a half-eaten ice cream cone in his hand, you are completely decked out in one of jungkook’s doll’s princess serenity dresses, a small silver crown tucked in your hair and the crescent moon wand waving in the air. jungkook stares at you in horror, and you smile benevolently, twirling the wand in his direction as you tell him not to be ashamed - magical girls kick ass! he sighs in relief and you smirk that yeah, sailor moon could kick tony stark’s ass any day.
jungkook’s ice cream drops to the floor.
he spends the rest of the evening debating with you about who would win in a fight between his favorite superheroes and his favorite magical girls.
imagine a pocket-sized you helping jungkook with gift wrapping. according to him, it was mingyu’s birthday recently, and he’d completely forgotten to give his fellow 97liner a birthday gift.
jungkook places a small, simple brown box in the center of a square piece of wrapping paper. you attempt to fold one corner of the paper neatly over the box to the other side, but jungkook gets impatient and crumples each side messily onto the middle of the box, snickering that it’s the thought that counts. he asks you to hold the paper in place while he prepares the ribbon and tape, so you sit down in the middle of the messy pile of paper while you wait.
jungkook returns with a long length of clear tape stretched between his thumbs. you make to hop off the paper, but jungkook smirks and sticks the tape right across your chest, rubbing it down to make sure it’s stuck completely. you continue to kick and struggle against the tape, so the cackling boy rips another long piece of tape and fastens your legs to the box, effectively adhering you to the top of the gift. his giggles only grow louder when you glare at him as he places a shiny red ribbon on your tummy.
you whine that he couldn’t possibly give mingyu his gift while you’re trapped on top of it, but jungkook hums that he’d already given mingyu his birthday present last week. he grins, places another piece of tape across your arms, and wishes you a happy one year anniversary - if you can get out of your trap, the present is yours.
he walks away laughing as you shout after him to give presents to people like a normal human for once in his life.
request prompt: oh oh oh can i request pocket army easter? where either the boys make things for army to find or army makes things for the boys to find
imagine a pocket sized you pushing brightly-colored plastic eggs all throughout the tall grass in the backyard. after successfully hiding several dozen eggs in the grass, you begin hiding them in random places around the yard: inside one of jungkook’s stray tims, behind the birdhouse yoongi built for the maknae line, in the pocket of seokjin’s “kiss the cook” apron hanging off the bbq grill, and held in the arms of one of hoseok’s bearbrick figurines on the picnic table.
you’re tucking a pastel purple egg into rapmon’s food bowl when you hear the boys approaching from the front yard. you quickly run to a random egg in the yard, pop it open, and hide inside.
you giggle when you hear a puzzled namjoon beginning to read the note you left behind.
“this easter, the golden egg is not precious because of its color, but because the prize inside is more precious than gold.
you never walk alone (if we’re together i can smile)
Imagine a pocket-sized you curled up in Yoongi’s warm black fur as you accompany him on another one of his midnight walks through the Forbidden Forest, pitch black save for thin slats of moonlight that manage to slip through the dense thicket of trees.
The forest is quiet, Yoongi’s soft breaths and the gentle crunch of dried leaves underneath his paws being the only sounds you can make out for miles. Yoongi confidently pads deeper into the darkness, and for a fleeting second you think that, being the tiny creature you are, maybe it would bode well for your safety to be a little more frightened of the sinister beings waiting deep within the darkness.
As if sensing your apprehension, Yoongi growls in exasperation, making you giggle and nuzzle closer into the soft fur of his neck, because he’s right - the massive werewolf may very well be the most dangerous beast in the entire forest, and he’d certainly never let harm come to you.
Yoongi approaches a clearing in the middle of the woods where the towering trees give way to reveal the glowing full moon along with a tapestry of winking stars. At the center of the clearing, you can just make out a faint golden glow. You squint in the darkness and your heart stops, breath catching in your throat as you realize that what you’re seeing is a boy - a beautiful boy in flowing golden robes.
Kim Taehyung.
You frantically hope your eyes are deceiving you. Surely you are just imagining the sweet third year Hufflepuff boy. But no, Kim Taehyung is right there, deep within the Forbidden Forest, in the dead of night, stumbling gracelessly after a flock of Leaping Toadstools. He giggles quietly as he catches one and throws it into a little wicker basket.
He couldn’t look more like easy prey for a bloodthirsty werewolf like Min Yoongi.
Yoongi lets out a bloodcurdling howl, and your body floods with adrenaline as the boy whips his head around to meet the piercing eyes of a full-grown werewolf. You scramble to grasp onto the scruff of Yoongi’s coat with trembling fingers, desperately murmuring calming words into his ear. You don’t understand why the forest suddenly becomes bathed in a golden glow until you realize Kim Taehyung is skipping over to you, the widest boxy smile on his face and somehow radiating something warm and bright, like sunlight.
“Yoongi-hyung~~!”
And then the boy is plopping onto the grass next to Yoongi and greeting you happily. Your head swims in confusion as Taehyung reaches behind Yoongi’s ears to give him a good scratch, all the while jabbering on about how some forest fairies had asked him to get rid of the pesky toadstools that kept leaping into their magic circles. Yoongi sits there blinking dazedly, looking more like a house pet than the bloodthirsty monster he usually becomes in the presence of humans.
Taehyung finally questions your silence, and you stutter your bewildered tangle of thoughts. The boy laughs in understanding and Yoongi nuzzles his outstretched hand, asking for more scratches.
“I’m actually half-veela,” Taehyung declares proudly. “So Yoongi-hyung is just as immune to me as he is to you.”
Yoongi growls unhappily at not getting scratches, so he shifts to lie on the ground and bares his tummy for Taehyung to rub, which the boy does with a little laugh.
After a moment, the boy’s smile dims, his tender eyes suddenly achingly sad.
“Hyung was so little when he got bitten, he couldn’t control it and he hurt a lot of people the first time he transformed. The Ministry of Magic pressured his family to kill him - ‘euthanize’, they said, like he was a rabid dog. So they escaped deep into the woods. That’s how we met.” Taehyung’s eyes crinkle happily, a dull golden glow shimmering on the surface of his skin. “Mom is a veela and she can’t stand cities. So yeah,” Taehyung shrugs with a smile, “Yoongi-hyung and I grew up walking together in the same forest, and mom and I helped him every full moon. Our families are super close!”
By this time, Yoongi had fallen asleep to Taehyung’s ministrations, and the glowing boy cradles you in his hand before placing you on the fur of Yoongi’s chest. Taehyung lays in the grass beside him and cuddles the werewolf like a giant teddy bear.
“You wanna know a secret?” He whispers. You nod fervently and Taehyung grins. “My favorite Min Yoongi is wolfy Min Yoongi.” He snuggles deeper into the silky fur and mumbles sleepily, “He only lets me cuddle him when he’s like this, even though I’m his best friend in the whole world! Believe me,” he yawns and chuckles, eyelids drooping, “Human Min Yoongi is a billion times scarier than any werewolf.”
Yoongi puts a paw up to smother Taehyung’s face, effectively shutting him up, and he tries like hell to hide it, but you definitely notice the wolfy smile that spreads to his eyes, turning them into happy crescent moons. They fall asleep like that - a werewolf and a golden boy, folded into each other’s arms and tucked warmly beneath a blanket of stars.
Imagine pocket-sized you peeking over the mixing bowl that’s almost full of cookie dough. Your eyes shift upward as your fingers curl over the edge of the bowl, sneaking glances at the man whose broad shoulders is the only thing you see of him as he faces away from you. His head is ducked down to the oven as he removes pots and pans from the oven he uses as storage.
You look back up to the bowl and slightly bend your knees, gathering your weight in your feet. You pounce up and hurdle yourself over the edge of the mixing bowl. You would have gotten a perfect 10 landing, if Seokjin’s hand didn’t just dive underneath your body and catch you before you land yourself in the pillowing hills of sticky yumminess.
You huff in complaint and cross your arms, demanding for a bite of the uncooked cookie dough.
Seokjin, in turn, scolds you that you would eat all of the cookie dough and there would be none left to put in the oven. It doesn’t matter how pocket-sized you are; he knows you can finish that whole bowl of cookie dough.
You whine that it’s going to take the oven too long; and besides, cookie dough is one of the best parts of baking cookies.
He shakes his head as he puts you on the counter across from the counter where the mixing bowl is. Your arms are still crossed and you frown at him. He frowns back at you and crosses his arms. You can see a tug at the corner of his lips at how funny you look right now; sitting on your butt with your legs slightly spread out, your arms are crossed, and you’re pouting. He dares to mock a cookie dough-deprived person.
Seokjin sighs and steps to the side to open the freezer. He rummages through the freezer a bit before he takes out a gallon tub of cookie dough ice-cream. He takes off the top of the tub and hands you one of those small ice-cream sample spoons. He confesses that this is his secret stash, and you can only eat it with your dinky, little spoon until the cookies are baked. You take the spoon and smile deviously. The challenge is accepted.
