Pocket Monsta X - Camping/ Road Trip
(Hi Everyone! There was an anon request for the Pockets BTS and MX Camping/On a Road Trip. So it has become a road trip scenario where they’re camping along the way.
This is also your reminder that pockets are all about the size of a mouse, so if you bring them camping or on a road trip, please keep them buckled in tight and don’t let them out of your sight. Thanks!)
Shownu:
wants to be helpful by pointing left or right when the GPS says to turn
will want to rent a kayak if you’re anywhere near water
once on the ground will want “to boldly go where no man has gone before”
at least he thinks that
but like one step for you is like twenty of his so
if he was protective of you before, he is protective of you even more so now that you are outside the house and in the middle of nowhere
worried that you’ll get lost and leave without him
carries around a little backpack you gave him
calls it his “red bag of goodness”
it holds snacks
will help you set up the tent and makes sure the other pockets help too if they are around
bc “helping is good for you”
will attempt to eat an entire hot dog by himself
gets shy when he has to ask you to help get the marshmallow out of his hair
leader in campfire songs
wants to clap
extra snuggles in the crisp morning air
will stay in his pocket until it’s warm enough to come out
Wonho:
makes sure the car is equipped with snacks and the cooler is full at all times
constantly crawling back to grab more to eat
will scream randomly at the top of his lungs to make you jump while you’re driving and then giggle when you roll your eyes
will go adventuring but will come back for cuddles more quickly than the others
drags back big sticks because he’s a helpful boy
so proud that he unclasped the sleeping bag all by himself
wants to sit on your lap
you’ll have to help him hold his stick up because he’ll want a full marshmallow not just a piece of one
you will have to hold it away from him while it cools off because you know he will burn himself but he doesn’t care
makes grabby hands from your lap while waiting
will try to stuff too much of it in his mouth at once
you’ll have to remind him not to speak when his mouth is full
sticky all over
sucks on his fingers while he lays slouched and sprawled on your lap watching the fire die down
Kihyun:
wants to play the alphabet game in the car
propeller hat once again makes an appearance
low key he hopes the spinner will keep the mosquitoes away
wears a raincoat, zipped all the way up
pant legs are tucked into his socks to discourage the creepy crawlies
runs over to you for hand sanitizer every time he touches something “gross”
eventually you’ll have to restrict his hand sanitizer quantity
likes to watch you cooking over the campfire
in the morning he’ll want to mimic the birds with their song
wants to stop at all the roadside attractions
“mom! Can we go see the worlds largest frying pan!”
“Look! The world’s best town by a dam site!”
has a book of all the best sites to see and a Guinness book of world records to keep him entertained
Minhyuk:
books on tape
so content
you’ll probably get through the entire Narnia series
constantly changing the radio station
will yell jibberish if he doesn’t know the words to the song
just wants to sing as loudly as possible and as badly as possible on purpose
will want a paper map so he can put a little red star next to every city you go to on your trip
keeps unbuckling his seatbelt when you’re not looking
waves at people through the window of the car while you’re filling at the gas station
will yell “WE’RE GOING CAMPING!” if you roll the window down
jumps around as soon as you put him on the ground
wants to kick around in the firepit ashes to see if he can find anything fun before you build a new one
has a lot of fun crinkling the newspaper
tells the best stories at the campfire to the other pockets
but has to sit on your lap because he scares himself
Hyungwon:
sleeps for most of the car ride
might turn on mpr as background noise
points out the scenery if he thinks it’s especially pretty
wants to take lots of pictures
wants you to take lots of pictures of him so he can show his friends
(think like flat Stanley, but its just pocket Wonnie standing up in your hand with a beautiful backdrop)
reads every sign you pass and randomly states them
“17 miles to Janesville”
not bothered to go exploring
prefers to stay in the tent
but if he needs to go potty you have to go with him
bc the outdoors be scary
Jooheon:
finds an 80s throwback station and headbangs hard
tries to roll down the window to stick his head out
you’ll have to lock the window from your side because he doesn’t realize that at his size his entire body would fly out and he would die
again remember to keep him away from flames
double-check to make sure he is in your pocket before you light the match
as much as he loves fire he will want to check your hands to make sure you didn’t get burned lighting it
runs around with pockets Kyun, Minhyuk and Shownu
steals many of the snacks from Shownu’s red bag of goodness
is scared of the noises animals make in the dark
you’ll have to sing him to sleep to get him to calm down
I.M:
lets the radio skip
tries to piece together stories and conspiracies out of what other people are saying on different channels
“the policies in new guinea state… so come on down to Old Joe’s for 30% off… my first husband died in August of 1997… California girls are unforgettable…”
*turns down the radio*
“Once upon a time Old Joe created the policies of New Guinea but his wife, an unforgettable woman from California, killed him in August of 1997. Okay, what happens next?”
*turns the radio back up *
you have to talk to him or else he’ll get whiney
becomes even more daring during the daytime at the campsite
thinks camping means more freedom
will climb anything
you’ll have to give him rules and tell him not to go farther than a certain tree because he will keep wandering until he gets lost and then you’ll never find him
at night, he just wants to look at the sky
will point out the constellations, tell you the stories of the sky
snuggles down into the hood of your hoodie for bed
you’ll have to put his sleeping form in the car in the morning because there is no way he’s up in time for breakfast
