Pocket Thrifts - Skirt Shirt

So, I found this super adorable skirt at the thirft store. And it was a bit too big for me. Rather than just resizing the skirt, I thought I’d make a cute top! First I took the skirt apart, removed the zipper, removed the waistband that attached the lining, and started from there. I drafted a tank-top like top from the remaining pieces. Since I don’t like how chubby my arms are, I decided a tank wouldn’t be the best idea. I then took material from the lining and placed a piece on the bottom and added sleeves to match! 

I took in the sides a bit more, because it was a lot baggier on me than the pictures show, but wanted to leave it loose and flowy~ I am the absolute worst at taking selfies, but whatever. Maybe I’ll get a picture that’s a bit more flattering of it later!!

I should probably work on other sewing projects that have been actually commissioned of me, rather than these silly thrift things!
