You know what’s fucking wild to me? That saying “POC solidarity” in modern twitter SJW circles is a controversial statement now.
I recently saw a thread on tumblr about the Chinese government changing their policy on permanent residency in China, and some racist Chinese conservatives on twitter and weibo were saying some extremely anti black shit, and should be rightfully called out. But at the same time, the thread is full of people justifying anti asian hate crimes due to the coronavirus.
Like??? First of all what do Chinese conservatives have to do with my filipino ass, because my mother has faced anti asian racism due to the coronavirus recently. Is that justified now????
I’ve seen other cases of massive infighting online between people of color. I’ve seen asian nationalists say that we shouldn’t do anything for black people because black people have an anti asianness problem. I’ve seen Palestinian people say they don’t care about anti Ethiopian racism in Israel because of how Ethiopians Jews join the IDF and act as colonizers in order to assimilate into ashkenazi society. I’ve seen hundreds upon hundreds of ppl on twitter say “fuck asian people” because asian ppl have a problem with anti blackness.
This is just so wild to me how unbelievably reactionary people have gotten under the guise of being woke and conscious, when socialist parties and civil rights movements in the past were literally BUILT on POC solidarity and internationalism, and white imperialists have deliberately tried to destroy that by targeting the black panthers, funding racist extremist Muslim groups, letting racists and isolationists linger around but cracking down HARD on internationalists who want to abolish capitalism and white supremacy. This shit is why white people created the model minority stereotype for asian Americans, to throw them against black ppl and Hispanic ppl. This shit is why ameriKKKa destroyed secular stable countries in Africa, Asia, South America, and the Middle East in favor of reactionary governments.
Yet these woke circles screaming “fuck poc sokidarity cuz it isn’t a reality” won’t EVER mention this. Some people have gotten SO fucking high over the catharthis of being angry online that they’ve started tripping off of ethnonationalist dogma. I understand if you’re a person of color and you’re frustrated at other marginalized groups being racist, but let’s not act like there aren’t entire ppl out there online radicalizing ppl towards reactionary nationalism instead of just admitting them saying “fuck poc solidarity” is out of frustration not actual praxis. And then I see white SJW liberal fucks retweeting “fuck poc solidarity” on twitter like they have any business doing that LMAO!
If you’re a person of color and you’re reading this, and you genuinely think me saying “we should strive towards poc solidarity” is a stupid controversial statement, then I need you to sit down and contemplate your end goal. Are you *really* fighting for equality and racial justice, or do you just want privilege under capitalism?
