I’ve been going to shows for a long time. Used to run all over the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball court as mom and dad made several laps through there craft show. This weekend I went to my first @iowadeerclassic and captured this moment. My father doesn’t hunt whatsoever but his brothers do. As I talked with Cody about the various products they had to offer I glanced over to see Andre and my father deep in conversation about engineering, mobile hunting, and past times. And I thought how unreal. How awesome. You’ve got the “Lone Wolf” talking endlessly with a man who doesn’t own a hunting license anywhere. That right there is what makes this hunting community so special to me. I still can’t put it all exactly into words. But I can say it’ll be a moment and time I’ll never forget.
