Did you know that Great Crested Grebes are known to perform a courtship dance known as ‘the weed dance’? During this special dance, the birds bring weed from the lake to each other as a sign of affection and in order to create a floating nest! 🐦

Grèbe huppé ( Podiceps cristatus - Great Crested Grebe ) by Le Papa'razzi Quand ça ne veut pas ....... ça ne veut pas ! trois semaines que j'essaye en vain d'avoir correctement une belle figure lors de la parade nuptiale des Grèbes huppés , les oiseaux sont bien présents mais peu enclin à venir du bon côté et restent le long de la berge d'en face au canal d'où ce curieux décor qui est en fait la tôle rouillée des palplanches métalliques . j'espère avoir mieux prochainement car là à quarante mètres c'est deux fois trop loin pour espérer obtenir une bonne définition d'image . Image prise dans un milieu naturel . PS : Un grand merci à toutes celles et ceux qui choisissent de regarder , de commenter et d'aimer mes photos . C'est très apprécié , comme vous l'avez constaté , je ne répond plus directement suite à votre commentaire juste pour dire en fait " merci et bonne journée " , mais en retour je passe laisser une petite trace chez vous sur une ou plusieurs de vos éditions . Merci de votre compréhension ******************************************************************** When it does not want ....... it does not want! three weeks that I try in vain to have a good face correctly during the courtship display of the Great Crested Grebes, the birds are very present but not very inclined to come from the right side and stay along the bank opposite the canal hence this curious decoration which is in fact the rusty sheet of metal sheet piles. I hope to have better soon because there at forty meters it is twice too far to hope to obtain a good definition of image. Image taken in a natural environment.
