photographic memory - meet your polaroid camera, poe snaps!

Poe is a vintage polaroid camera that the player bought at a flea market, but hasn’t been used since. Their personality is somewhat erratic because of their nature as a camera, but other objects in the house admire their creativity and pursuit in documenting the beauty of life. Poe’s appearance is reminiscent of a 90s goth and the tattoos on their body represents past photos taken. They’re located on the shelf above the clothing closet. Poe is on good terms with everyone in the bedroom (even Tina!) but seems to hide from the Hanks.

Poe’s storyline involves severe physical trauma and PTSD. Proceed with caution!

To complete Poe’s storyline, the player has to buy new camera film online and use the polaroid camera to photograph subjects of interest around the house. You only need to photograph 3 characters to complete this quest; however, for each character the player photographs, the more they can learn about Poe and unlock new dialogue options. Characters that can be photographed using Poe are Betty, Celia and Florence, Amir, Lady Memoria, Artt, and Farya. Each character reveals key details about Poe, such as them avoiding high risk activities and their tendency to slink away when asked about their past prior to being bought by the player at the flea market.

Refuse to buy Poe new camera film or push to be 'more than friends' when presented with the Friend Ending

Friend Ending

Photograph 3 of the listed dateables and accept Poe's offer to be friends or ask to be friends when presented with the Love Ending

Love Ending

Photograph all 6 listed dateables, decline Poe's offer to be friends and instead ask about their history before you brought them home from the flea market

Optional Route: The Hanks x Poe

No endings achieved with Poe and/or the Hanks, Friend Ending with the Hanks

After starting Poe's quest and before you take any photos, find the Hanks and ask them about Poe. They'll inform you that- despite being neighbors- Poe seems to avoid them like the plague and they don't know why. This presents the option for you to ask them if they would like you to investigate on their behalf. Picking this option allows you to see Maggie after gathering information while photographing the 6 available dateables. Maggie will inform you that Poe lost their left leg after being swiped off a high shelf during an argument their previous owner was in. You then have the option to talk to the Hanks or Poe, but talking to the Hanks will result in a Hate Ending with Poe.

When you go to Poe first, the Love route is presented but instead of Poe sharing what happened to them and showing you their prosthetic leg, you inform them what Maggie told you. Poe will get upset and ask why you were investigating them, where you're given the option to tell them that the Hanks wanted to know why Poe avoided them. This prompts Poe to get flustered and they will reveal that they admire the Hanks' risk-taking and how photogenic the adrenaline junkies all are but they're scared of getting hurt because of them. End the conversation with Poe and return to the Hanks.

When interacting with the Hanks, do not bring up Poe's accident and inform them that Poe worries about getting harmed by their risk-taking activities. The Hanks would be confused at first, but Hank 2 will express his understanding of Poe's worry and will ask if they can clear things up with Poe. If you agree, you will mediate an interaction with the Hanks and Poe.

During the interaction, Poe will share about their accident and how it impacts them to this day while the Hanks will share about losing other Hanks to similar accidents. Poe will also mention that they'd like to spend time with the Hanks and Hank 5 will suggest that Poe can photograph their adventures, as well as doing more 'low key' activities with Poe. The Hanks and Poe will agree on the hangout terms and thank you. Wait at least 3 in game days and speak to either Poe or the Hanks, who will inform you how cool and rad the other party is and that they've started dating, granting you Friend Endings with each dateable.

Love Endings with Poe and the Hanks

Ask Poe why they avoid the Hanks and they will tell you about their accident before you're prompted to offer to mediate an interaction with both parties or speak to the Hanks and pick the option where the Hanks request to speak to Poe. The same interaction as the 'no endings yet/friend ending with the hanks only' will play out and you all become one bigger polycule.
