The Cruelty of Time

“The End.”  A reality I've never handled well.

Time is so cruel.  Killing everything I know.

Every thread of everything I am, coming undone.

Every single cell of my world, withering away.

It touches my loved ones and freezes them in memories.

Memories doomed to melt and fade away with this body.

Why does it take everything away from me?

My moments, my youth, my life, my existence?

Please, no more endings.  

I can't bare to look back anymore.
