POETRY BRIEF - poster development
I developed my Poetry poster on the verse of the ecopoem, “We Are Destroying the Planet Earth”, a poem by Bri Mar, published in 2013.
Forests being destroyed, Which give us life, We live to cause strife.

Film Director always stays to a very strict colour palette, which is verysatisfying and grants a great consistency to his work
PRE IDEA
I wanted to portray in the poster the violence we are committing against our Planet just because of irresponsible use of resources and supporting unsustainable industries
It’s a very current topic currently due to the new legislation published about Amazonia.
Animation using motion to cause impact and raise awareness
Context of this poster could be for:
a charity’s fundraising;
an advert for an environmental NGO, such as WWF;
an institutional campaign;
a petition for signups.
EXPERIMENTATION
COLOUR
Bright, complementary colours so I could get the desired contrast between the plants and the destruction.
SHAPE
Got inspired in shapes from the Nature and did a wide range of them so they could represent Diversity;
Used the shapes to frame my poster.
CONTRAST
By using the contrast between Bright/Dark colours I wanted to cause the impact on the Life and the Strife humans cause.
ANIMATION
Since I was decided to animate my poster I decided to do some sketching on the statics in which I will base myself to create the Storyboard for my animation.
SOUND
On last Tuesday’s Perspectives lecture we talked about Sound Design. An interesting approach on sound which I could apply on my project:
How sound can influence image on creative work?
Using sound as trigger to visualize sound.
