i miss the sea and my heart is soft and mushy over that Rom & Mou hug and the sheer existence of Pogba.

They are on a pier in Nice, the first time Rom kisses him. The Mediterranean sings in the pastel predawn and Rom’s lips are impossibly soft against his own. Rom’s arms around him are tentative though, like he is afraid that Paul will dissolve away if he holds on too tight, asks for too much.

Silly, silly man.

He pulls Rom in until their bodies are flush against each other and their limbs are so intertwined it’s not possible to tell where he ends and Rom begins. In the distance he can hear the screeching of seagulls, jealous no doubt of what he has.
