Headcannon

The subject of Arthur is usually touchy but even more so right now due to the events that took place both Christmas and New Years. After Arthur spent Thanksgiving with Eames they decided to spend Christmas together, and like a fool (at least how Eames feels) he proposed to Arthur. He said no. But he didn't leave, and neither did Eames. Maybe he thought he was joking...

So they went to New York together, on a job, but also for New Years, and as the ball dropped Eames proposed again, this time with a ring. Again, Arthur said no.

And Eames left.

Thanksgiving

Eames wasn't completely sure what he needed to bring to Arthur's house besides his clothes for the trip. He had gone to the store, picked out some things Arthur might want for dinner tonight. They were going to spend some time together, a lot actually, not the usual long weeks of work, but an actual vacation- Thanksgiving dinner at Eames's mother's house. This was important too, it was the holidays, which have always been important to Eames and his mother, even though she often joked about not having her son bring home someone decent enough for her to meet since he was in college. But that was a while ago, and this was now.

Eames didn't go through the back. He went up to the front door and rang the door bell. He kept his bags in his car, he probably wouldn't need them till the airport later this evening.
